Maysalward Expands Presence in Amman

Jordan-based game developer Maysalward has opened a new headquarters on Abdali Boulevard in Amman. The move represents a milestone for the studio, which has spent more than two decades in game development and over 14 years fostering the local gaming community. The new facility is intended to provide a central hub for the studio’s ongoing operations and community-focused initiatives.

Introducing The Capsule for Emerging Developers

The headquarters will also host The Capsule, a new initiative designed to strengthen the studio’s capacity-building efforts. The programme provides mentorship, training, and creative workspace support for emerging game developers. Maysalward aims to use The Capsule to guide new talent, offering resources and structured programmes that help developers refine their skills and launch projects.

Plans for Funding Early-Stage Game Studios

Alongside The Capsule, Maysalward plans to launch a pre-seed and incubator fund later this year. The fund is intended to support early-stage studios and contribute to the growth of the regional game development ecosystem. By providing financial support and mentorship, Maysalward aims to encourage innovation and sustainability among emerging developers in the Middle East.

Continuing Education Initiatives

Maysalward continues to run educational programmes alongside its industry work. The studio recently partnered with the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and the Greater Amman Municipality on the Schools Reinventing Amman competition. As part of the initiative, teachers received five days of training using Minecraft Education, enabling them to guide students in designing sustainable urban solutions. The programme also emphasizes climate change adaptation and encourages young people to engage with environmental challenges through interactive learning.

Strengthening Jordan’s Game Development Ecosystem

Through the combination of The Capsule, educational programmes, and planned funding initiatives, Maysalward is positioning itself as a key contributor to the Jordanian game development ecosystem. The new headquarters provides a physical space where mentorship, collaboration, and training can take place, supporting the next generation of game creators in the region.
