Pixel Flow Raises Funding

Hybridcasual puzzle game Pixel Flow has closed a seed funding round after posting impressive early performance metrics. The round brought in backing from Arcadia Gaming Partners's Akin Babayigit and early-stage fund e2vc. The exact figure wasn't disclosed, though it's understood to be in the low millions.

Istanbul-based developers Kübra Gundogan and Emre Çelik built Pixel Flow, which hit seven-figure daily revenue within three months of going live. With the fresh capital, the team is now focused on scaling operations and growing the player base.

How the game works

Pixel Flow runs on a conveyor belt system where pigs fire colored balls at pixel cubes in the center of the screen. Match the colors and the cubes vanish. Clear the board to win. It's a hybridcasual setup with puzzle layers, which separates it from the usual mobile fare.

Co-founder and CEO Kübra Gundogan says the development process centered on studying how players actually interact with the game. "Pixel Flow is the result of our long-standing passion for building original game mechanics," Gundogan explained. "For us, Pixel Flow isn't just a new game; it represents a completely new core mechanic and a new definition of fun."

What investors see in it

Akin Babayigit from Arcadia Gaming Partners pointed to the game's reception across the industry. "In a category that often advances through iteration rather than true innovation, it's incredibly exciting to see Pixel Flow's success," he said. "The attention it's receiving isn't only because of strong metrics—it's also because Kübra and Emre created a genuinely innovative mechanic and went on to conquer the market with it."

The team plans to leverage Pixel Flow's momentum by applying the same core mechanics to future projects, aiming to carve out a bigger footprint in mobile gaming.
