Prime Day deals on Nintendo hardware rarely impress, but the accessory side of this sale is a different story. Several Switch 2 peripherals are sitting at their lowest prices ever right now, and a handful of them are things you actually need rather than impulse buys you'll regret by Monday.
The headline deal is the Samsung P9 Express 256GB microSD Express card at $39.99, down 50% from its regular $79.99. Here's the thing: the Switch 2 does not accept standard microSD cards. It requires the faster microSD Express format, which has historically been expensive. This particular card effectively doubles your console's built-in storage, and at half price it's the kind of deal that won't come around often. The Switch 2's internal storage holds up reasonably well for now, but game file sizes are only going in one direction.

Carrying cases at their lowest prices ever
The tomtoc Slim Carrying Case is down 33% to $24.60, which is its lowest price ever. It's a well-regarded slim option that fits the Switch 2 without adding much bulk, and the discount applies across all color variants. For players who want protection and a built-in battery, the Belkin Charging Case Pro is 15% off at $84.99, also a first-ever discount on that model. The Belkin case with integrated 10,000mAh power bank drops to $54.99 from $69.99, which is worth serious consideration for anyone who games on long trips.
The wildcard here is the Sonix x Sanrio Carrying Case, which is down 61% to $15.46. That's a steep cut on a case that was $39.99, and if the aesthetic works for you, it's hard to argue with that price.
Screen protection that actually works
The amFilm Auto-Alignment OneTouch Screen Protector two-pack is down 23% to $9.99, which is its lowest price ever. The auto-alignment applicator makes installation far less stressful than older screen protectors, and getting two for under $10 means you have a backup ready when you eventually need it. Screen protectors are one of those accessories that feel unnecessary right up until the moment they aren't.
Third-party controllers worth considering
No discounts on official Nintendo Joy-Con or the Pro Controller this sale, but the PowerA Advantage Wireless Controller is available in multiple Nintendo-themed variants at record-low prices. The Pokemon: Mega Evolutions version is $50.99 (down 27%), the Mario and Friends version drops to $41.02 (down 41%), and the Zelda Decayed Master Sword edition is $56.94 (down 12%). PowerA has built a solid reputation as a reliable third-party option for Switch owners who want something functional without paying Nintendo's first-party prices.
The surprise controller deal is the PDP Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller, which is down 47% to $79.99 from $149.99. It's compatible with both Switch and Switch 2, and it's the controller you want if you're playing Fortnite Festival.
Game card cases for physical collectors
Physical game collectors have several options on sale, all at lowest-ever prices. The PERFECTSIGHT 48-game card case is $17.59, the FUNLAB 24-game card case is $11.19, the HEIYING 48-game card case is $16.99, and the iPLYGAM 96-game case drops to $21.05. One useful detail: Switch 2 cartridges are the same physical size as original Switch cartridges, so cases designed for either console work for both.
What about the console itself
The Switch 2 hardware isn't discounted in any meaningful way right now. A Woot deal briefly appeared and sold out almost immediately. The best option currently is Nintendo's Choose Your Game bundle at $499.99, which bundles the console with your choice of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokemon Pokopia at the same price as the base hardware. Nintendo has confirmed a price increase coming in September, so the window for picking up the console at its current price is narrowing.
