The Game Company Partners with Telcoin Network

Dubai-based cloud gaming company The Game Company has announced a strategic partnership with Telcoin Network, a blockchain infrastructure exclusively validated by GSMA mobile network operators. This collaboration aims to provide mobile users worldwide with seamless access to cloud gaming without the need for expensive hardware or downloads. By integrating with Telcoin Network, The Game Company will expand its reach to mobile subscribers across various markets while utilizing Telcoin’s regulated banking infrastructure and payment rails that connect traditional finance with web3.

Enhancing Cloud Gaming

The partnership will introduce new opportunities at the intersection of decentralized finance (DeFi) and online gaming. Players engaging in competitive prize-based tournaments and fantasy leagues will be able to store, exchange, and transfer their earnings using multiple digital assets, including GMRT, TEL, ETH, and Telcoin’s Digital Cash stablecoins. This integration allows for seamless financial transactions across both traditional and blockchain-based economies, enhancing accessibility and convenience for players globally.

Osman Masud, CEO and co-founder of The Game Company, emphasized the broader impact of this collaboration, stating that it is focused on creating global opportunities and accessibility rather than just technological advancement. He highlighted how the combination of Telcoin’s infrastructure and The Game Company’s cloud gaming platform will enable a more inclusive gaming experience for users around the world.

Expanding Global Access to Cloud Gaming

Paul Neuner, CEO and co-founder of Telcoin, reinforced the alignment between the two companies, noting that The Game Company’s platform demonstrates the potential of Telcoin Network in delivering web3 services through telecom channels. By leveraging Telcoin’s relationships with mobile network operators, The Game Company will be able to offer premium gaming experiences to mobile users, particularly in developing markets where access to high-end gaming devices may be limited. Additionally, gamers will benefit from Telcoin’s low-cost, regulated payment infrastructure, which provides flexibility in choosing between traditional and blockchain-based payment methods.

The Game Company’s cloud gaming platform is currently in development following a successful alpha testing phase. The initial testing, conducted in over 33 regions, including the UAE, saw over 43,000 sign-ups, more than 41,000 on-chain transactions, and the creation of 10,000 wallets in under 48 hours. The platform is expected to launch in Q1 2025, offering access to over 1,300 gaming titles from Steam, Epic Games, and other leading publishers via cloud-based infrastructure.

Advancing Telecom-Enabled Blockchain Services

Telcoin Network, governed by the Telcoin Association, aims to integrate blockchain technology with mobile network operators to create a decentralized financial ecosystem. By coordinating a global blockchain infrastructure around telecom providers and the GSMA, Telcoin seeks to offer new financial services that complement existing mobile operations. Just as telecom networks currently generate revenue from data and call services, Telcoin’s model envisions mobile operators earning from validating blockchain transactions, providing them with a new revenue stream at minimal deployment cost.

This partnership represents a step toward bridging the gaming industry with blockchain technology and telecom infrastructure. By combining cloud gaming with regulated digital payment solutions, The Game Company and Telcoin Network aim to improve accessibility and financial inclusivity for gamers worldwide.
