Tom Clancy's The Division 2 keeps the grind going well past Level 100 in Y8S1 Rise Up, and the Rise Up Cache system is exactly where that extra effort pays off. Once you clear the standard season pass reward track, every level you earn converts directly into cache drops loaded with Named gear, Exotics, and cosmetics. With a Season XP x2 event currently active, you can stack these faster than any previous season.
What are Rise Up Caches and how do you get them?
After hitting Level 100 on the Y8S1 season pass, the reward track shifts. Every level you gain past that point drops a Rise Up Cache, which contains a randomized selection of gear from the pool below. The grind doesn't stop at 100 — it just changes what you're working toward.
The Season XP x2 event is live for two weeks, doubling the XP you earn from all applicable activities. This multiplier appears to apply beyond Level 100 as well, meaning you can accumulate Rise Up Caches at roughly twice the normal rate during the event window. If Ubisoft adjusts this before the event ends, the pace will slow, but for now it's the best time to grind.

What drops from a standard Rise Up Cache?
The regular Rise Up Cache has four distinct reward categories, each with its own drop probability.
Vanity items
Cosmetics make up the most common drop. Each cache has approximately a 50% chance to hand you one of the following:
- Backpack (two pieces available)
- Arm Patches (three pieces available)
- Weapon Skins (three pieces available)
These won't change your build, but they're the most reliable way to refresh your agent's look during the season.
Rare Named items
Named items are a meaningful upgrade source, and there are 19 of them in the pool this season:
- Lexington
- Stack Broker
- Turmoil
- Caretaker
- Shield Splinterer
- Huntsman
- Handbasket
- The Harvest
- Chill Out
- Quickstep
- First Bloom
- Hunter Killer
- First Sight
- Sleigher
- Slingshot
- Oh Carol
- Festive Delivery
- Snow Machine
- Bell Ringer
Named items from caches can roll with different stats each time, so even duplicates aren't wasted if you're chasing a specific stat spread.
Seasonal and Special Exotics
This tier covers Exotics that have appeared in previous seasons or through specific in-game activities:
- Agitator
- Investor
- Nemesis
- Liberty
- Chatterbox
- Dodge City Gunslinger's Holster
- Ridgeway's Pride
Exclusive Exotics
The rarest tier pulls from a pool of 11 weapons and gear pieces. These are the drops worth farming for:
- Regulus
- Eagle Bearer
- Ravenous
- Bighorn
- Ouroboros
- Provocator
- Birdie's Quick Fix
- Tinkerer
- Tempest
- Blacklisters
- Sheriff
The Exclusive Exotic drop rate is extremely low from standard caches. Don't count on these dropping quickly — treat them as long-term grind targets rather than session goals.

What makes the Prestige Rise Up Cache different?
Every 10 levels past Level 100, you earn a Prestige Rise Up Cache instead of the standard version. The contents come from the same pool, but the odds shift significantly in your favor:
Prestige Caches are the real reason to keep pushing levels. If you're targeting a specific Exclusive Exotic, your best odds come from these milestone drops rather than grinding standard caches.
Prestige Caches drop at levels 110, 120, 130, and so on. Plan your XP sessions around hitting those milestones during the double XP window.
How to farm Rise Up Caches efficiently
The double XP event makes this the most efficient farming window of Y8S1. Focus on activities that award the most Season XP per hour. Assault Challenges are a strong option, check out the complete guide to all Assault Challenge tasks if you want to clear all 5 Day One objectives and stack those 20 stars toward the White House vendor alongside your cache grind.
Manhunt objectives also contribute to seasonal progression. The Week 1 Manhunt Scout 1 walkthrough covers the Federal Triangle objectives step by step, and pairing Manhunt completions with daily activities is a reliable way to keep XP flowing between major sessions.

Is the Rise Up Cache grind worth your time?
For players who already hit Level 100, yes. The cache system gives the season pass meaningful longevity, and the Prestige Cache milestones provide consistent high-quality drops rather than pure RNG. The Exclusive Exotic pool includes some of the strongest pieces in the game, and with the double XP window active right now, the time investment to reach those Prestige milestones is lower than it will ever be this season.
The standard cache Named item pool is deep at 19 pieces, which means duplicates are common early on. Stick with it — the Prestige Caches at every 10 levels are what make the long-term grind feel rewarding rather than repetitive.
For everything else happening in Y8S1, the full Division 2 Rise Up strategy guide collection has you covered on Manhunt objectives, seasonal modifiers, and the new Escalation mode that adds another layer of endgame content to work through between cache sessions.
