The Red Needle Sword and Red Needle Katana are two of the strongest unique weapons you can grab in Crimson Desert, and both sit inside the same dungeon. The sword is a hard-hitting one-handed blade, while the katana rewards players who want to land fast, repeated strikes. Neither weapon is tied to a quest, so most players walk right past them without realizing what they missed.
Where are the Red Needle weapons located?
Both weapons share the same address: the Sanctum of Oblation, located on an island on the eastern edge of the Delesyia region. Delesyia sits on the far eastern side of the world map, which means you will be traveling through territory that is not exactly welcoming. The guards in Demeniss will attack on sight if you pass through during the early story chapters, and flying enemies patrol the approach to the island. The fastest strategy is to ignore the aerial threats entirely and push straight toward the Sanctum.
Depending on how far you are in the main story, the Sanctum of Oblation may be packed with enemies or completely cleared. Either way, the weapons are always available inside the treasure room.

How to navigate the Sanctum of Oblation
The entrance you want is on the eastern face of the Sanctum. Head inside, turn left immediately, then take a right into the corridor. Look for a hidden gap in the wall on your left side as you move down the passage. Step through it to find a staircase leading downward.
Finding the lamp and unlocking the treasure room
At the bottom of the stairs, two paths branch off in front of you. Take the straight path first. At the far end of the hallway, you will see a broken wall with a treasure chest sitting on the other side, sealed behind a locked gate. The key to opening it is an interactive lamp positioned right next to the broken wall. Interact with the lamp to trigger the mechanism and open the gate.
Once the gate opens, backtrack to the staircase and take the second path. Turn right, and you will be standing in front of the treasure room.

What do you get from the treasure chest?
Opening the chest rewards you with two items at once:
- Red Needle Sword (powerful one-handed blade, strong general damage)
- Palmar Pill (consumable item)
The Red Needle Katana is found in a separate chest in the same area. After lighting the lamp and heading back up the stairs toward the Sanctum entrance, a previously locked door will now be open. Walk through it and claim the katana from the chest inside.
