EA FC 26 release: Everything we know about the upcoming soccer sim

The Wall of Fame Evolution is live in EA SPORTS FC 26 and it targets goalkeepers specifically, pushing a GK of your choice to 98 OVR. The best part: you can complete it for free. Three upgrade levels, three simple match requirements, and a final card that competes with the best keepers in the game.

What are the Wall of Fame Evolution requirements?

Before picking your keeper, check that your card fits the entry conditions:

  • Overall: Max 96
  • PlayStyle: Max 10
  • PlayStyle+: Max 4
  • Position: GK only

Those caps are generous enough to include most high-end GK cards that haven't already been maxed out through previous evolutions.

tip
If you have a keeper sitting in a chain from an earlier evolution, you can feed that into this one to stack the upgrades and get better returns across the board.

What upgrades does each level give you?

The evolution runs three levels, each unlocked by playing a single match. The conditions are identical across all three: one game in Squad Battles on at least Semi-Pro difficulty, or any match in Rush, Rivals, Champions, or Live Events using your active EVO player.

Level 1 upgrades

  • Overall: +30 (cap 98)
  • Kicking: +30 (cap 95)
  • Reactions: +30 (cap 97)
  • Weak Foot: +4
  • PlayStyle+: Far Reach (up to 5)
  • PlayStyle: Far Throw (up to 7)

Level 2 upgrades

  • Diving: +30 (cap 97)
  • Reflexes: +30
  • Skills: +4
  • PlayStyle+: Rush Out (up to 5)
  • PlayStyle: Footwork (up to 7)

Level 3 upgrades

  • Handling: +30 (cap 96)
  • Positioning: +30 (cap 97)
  • Acceleration: +30 (cap 90)
  • Sprint Speed: +30 (cap 90)
  • PlayStyle+: Pinged Pass (up to 5)
  • PlayStyle: Cross Claimer (up to 7)

The stat jumps across all three levels are substantial. By the end you have a keeper with 98 OVR, capped Reactions at 97, Positioning at 97, and Diving at 97, plus a set of PlayStyles that covers the most important GK situations: Rush Out for one-on-ones, Far Reach for wide shots, and Cross Claimer for aerial dominance.

important
All three level requirements are identical, so there is no reason to delay. Play three matches and the full upgrade is yours.

What are the best players for the Wall of Fame Evolution?

The evolution works best when the base card already has strong foundational stats, since the +30 boosts push everything toward the caps rather than past them. Here are the top picks:

warning
Yashin TOTY Icon requires multiple evolution chains to meet the PlayStyle+ cap requirement. Plan ahead before committing tokens or coins to that path.

After testing several of these cards, Casillas GOTG Icon and Donnarumma TOTY stand out as the cleanest fits. Both hit the stat caps at every level without wasted headroom, and both come out of the evo with PlayStyle combinations that work in any formation.

For budget players, Gill Summer Stars gives you a fully competitive 98-rated keeper without spending on Icons or TOTY cards. The base stats are lower but the +30 boosts close the gap significantly.

Is the Wall of Fame Evolution worth doing?

Three matches for a free 98-rated GK with Rush Out, Far Reach, and Cross Claimer is not a difficult value proposition. The only real decision is which card to use, and the table above covers every realistic option from top-tier Icons down to accessible promo cards.

If you are building around other positions at the same time, check out the best players for the Auto Defender Evolution and the Anfield's Wall Evolution guide for more defensive upgrade options that pair well with a maxed-out keeper.
