Fortnite's Fortnitemares 2026 event brings Pumpkin Chests to the Island, and they're the fastest way to grow your Sprite collection during the season. Smash one and a random Sprite pops out. The catch is that spawns are random, so you need a route that stacks multiple farming sources in the same area. One location does that better than anywhere else on the map right now.
Why Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria is the best Sprite farming spot
Fortnite's Fortnitemares added Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria as a landmark in the northern part of the Island, sitting west of Freaky Fields, north of Nightmare Neighborhood, and east of Lifty Lodge. The reason it tops every other drop spot for Sprite farming isn't just the Pumpkin Chests. It's that four separate Sprite sources are packed into one small area.
When the Pumpkin Chest RNG is bad, the bosses and Cheat Codes cover the gap. That redundancy is what makes the Pizzeria the most consistent repeatable route in Fortnitemares 2026.

How to run the Pumpkin Chest route around the Pizzeria
There are four possible Pumpkin Chest spawns around Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, and none of them are guaranteed every match. You need to check all four each run.
Here's the order that covers ground most efficiently:
- Hit the hill near the large letters as you approach the Pizzeria.
- Check the front section of the Pizzeria for the first main spawn.
- Move to the second spawn point around the central landmark structure.
- Loop behind the building and over the nearby hill for the final spot.
Pumpkin Chests are hard to miss once you know what you're looking for. They glow with a purple effect and look like oversized jack-o'-lantern containers. Once you find one, walk up and Smash it to release the Sprite inside.

What are Trick or Treat Cheat Codes and how do they help?
Fortnitemares replaces the standard Island Cheat Codes with Trick or Treat Cheat Codes, and completing one releases a Sprite along with a possible bonus treat. Several of these spawn around the Pizzeria route, which makes them a reliable fallback when the Pumpkin Chest RNG is working against you.
If you have a Cheat Code Locator, use it. Same goes for any Extraction Gizmos you pick up. These tools reduce how much you're relying on blind exploration and make each run more efficient.
Should you fight Freddy Fazbear and Foxy?
Both Freddy Fazbear and Foxy have fixed spawn locations at the Pizzeria during Fortnitemares, and defeating either one can drop a random Sprite alongside other seasonal loot. After testing the route repeatedly, those boss drops are worth going for when the area is clear enough to fight safely.
The key word there is "safely." The Pizzeria pulls a lot of players, so another squad is often the bigger threat than the animatronics themselves. Get weapons and healing first, clear any player threats, then take on the bosses. Defeating them also lets you possess the animatronic shell, which is a nice bonus.
How does Sprite extraction work?
Finding a rare Sprite during a match doesn't automatically add it to your collection. You have to extract it successfully. Head to a nearby Extraction Site or use an Extraction Gizmo once you've collected the Sprites you want. Extraction locks them into your permanent collection.
Successful extractions also generate Sprite Dust, which you can spend on Sprite upgrades, Loot Hacks, and re-summoning previously extracted Sprites. The farming route around the Pizzeria has an Extraction Site close enough that you can grab your Sprites and leave without pushing through unnecessary fights.

A vehicle helps significantly on the exit. The Pizzeria gets hot fast, and driving out is safer than running through open ground with rare Sprites in your inventory.
Is Nightmare Neighborhood worth farming instead?
Nightmare Neighborhood has multiple Pumpkin Chest locations, but it draws heavy traffic and mixes in other Fortnitemares content that slows down a focused Sprite farming run. For players who want to maximize Sprite collection rather than fight every match, the Pizzeria's compact layout and stacked sources make it the more efficient choice.

Fortnitemares 2026 stacks more Sprite farming opportunities into a single area than any other point on the map right now. Between the Pumpkin Chests, Trick or Treat Cheat Codes, and the two FNAF boss drops, the Pizzeria route gives you multiple bites at the same apple every match.
