Free Vinicius Jr's Baila Emote in Fortnite

Fortnite keeps stacking its cosmetic roster with real-world collabs, and the latest one ties directly into the 2026 World Cup. Brazilian superstar Vinicius Jr has his own emote in the game now, the BAILA! Emote, and it's technically free. The catch? Only a specific group of players can claim it right now, and there's a mobile XP requirement standing between you and the reward.

Who can actually get the BAILA! Emote for free?

The BAILA! Emote is currently exclusive to Vivo subscribers in Brazil. Vivo is Brazil's largest telecommunications provider, and this reward is part of a broader collaboration tied to the 2026 World Cup. If you're not a Vivo subscriber living in Brazil, this one isn't accessible through normal channels right now.

Eligible players receive a code from Vivo, which they then enter on the official Fortnite redemption page. Entering the code doesn't hand over the emote immediately, though. There's one more step.

How to complete the Mobile Quest and claim the emote

After redeeming your Vivo code, Fortnite assigns you a Mobile Quest that requires earning 100,000 XP while playing on a mobile device. The XP source doesn't matter. Battle Royale matches, Creative modes, limited-time events, standard quests all count, as long as you're earning that XP on mobile.

100,000 XP sounds like a lot, but in Fortnite terms it's genuinely not. A handful of Creative XP sessions or a run through the active quest list will get you there faster than you'd expect. The XP grind here isn't the obstacle. Getting the code in the first place is.

Can you buy the BAILA! Emote instead?

No legitimate purchase option exists for the BAILA! Emote at the time of writing. It's not in the Item Shop, and Epic Games hasn't announced a release date for when it might appear there.

That said, emotes from limited collabs like this don't tend to stay exclusive forever. The reasonable expectation is that the BAILA! Emote eventually lands in the Item Shop, likely priced around 500 V-Bucks, which is the standard bracket for emotes of this type. Holding out for that is the smarter move for most players.

If you're truly impatient, codes have been showing up on secondary marketplaces like eBay, but listings there have been floating around the $20 mark. Paying $20 for something that will probably hit the shop at roughly a quarter of that price is a bad trade.

Is the BAILA! Emote worth chasing?

If you're a Vivo subscriber in Brazil, yes, absolutely. The mobile XP requirement is low enough that you can clear it in a single decent session, and the emote itself is tied to one of the most recognizable footballers on the planet right now. It's a solid free cosmetic.

For everyone else, patience is the actual strategy here. Waiting for the Item Shop release means paying a fraction of what secondary market listings are asking, with zero risk attached. Fortnite has a long history of cycling collab cosmetics back into the shop eventually.

While you're waiting, there are other free cosmetics worth grabbing. Check out how to claim the free New Seven 'Brella Victory Glider by winning a Battle Royale match, or see how to get the Dark Voyager Sidekick and Pickaxe for free through the Shattered live event.
