$400 Million Fund

As outlined in a recent post, the "Gaming Catalyst Program" aims to secure approval from the Arbitrum DAO to earmark 200 million ARB tokens, equating to approximately $400 million based on current market prices at the time of reporting. This substantial investment is intended to stimulate the creation of video games within the Arbitrum ecosystem.

"Arbitrum has emerged as a leader in the competitive network race through a dynamic formula of innovation, robust technology, organic builders, and a variety of short and long-term incentives," stated the Arbitrum Foundation in its post, emphasizing its confidence in the potential of blockchain gaming.

The proposed fund allocation plan allocates the majority of the funds, approximately 160 million ARB tokens, to incentivize publishers and developers to embark on new game development endeavors within the Arbitrum network. The remaining 40 million ARB tokens would be directed towards infrastructure initiatives, facilitating the necessary tools for gaming integration within Arbitrum.

"The Gaming Catalyst program has an overarching goal to bring in talented builders and help accelerate their games through the lifecycle stages," affirmed the Arbitrum Foundation, underscoring the program's emphasis on supporting developers throughout the game development process.
