The Origins and Vision Behind Auto Legends
Autoverse Studios is developing Auto Legends under the leadership of executive chairman Justin Choice, who founded Cie Games and created racing titles like Car Town and Racing Rivals. The development team includes former staff from Cie Games, Glu Mobile, Riot Games, Xbox, EA, Ubisoft, and Scopely, pooling decades of racing game development experience.
Earlier projects from team members, including Nitto 1320 Legends, Car Town, and Racing Rivals, reached a combined 140 million players and ranked among the most successful automotive games of their time. Auto Legends builds on that foundation by focusing on social competition, authentic vehicle ownership mechanics, and a player-controlled economy.
Gameplay and Competitive Racing Elements
The game takes place in Southern California, with an initial environment modeled after real street racing culture. Players acquire cars, install aftermarket parts, compete in different race formats, and attend social meet-ups. Competitive systems include leaderboards, in-game currency rewards, and high-stakes races where players can win rare parts or even claim another racer's vehicle in "pink slip" matches.
Progression unlocks new garages, performance shops, and better vehicles, giving players more tools to compete at higher tiers. Vehicle ownership in Auto Legends incorporates digital scarcity, with in-game cars mirroring real-world production numbers. This creates a rarity system where certain models are harder to obtain than others.

Upcoming NFT Mint and Future Developments
Auto Legends is preparing an NFT mint that gives early backers access to exclusive in-game vehicles. These digital collectibles will function within the game's systems, usable in races, competitions, and customization. The NFT integration represents another layer of blockchain technology in the game while keeping the core experience approachable for traditional players.
With backing from Coinbase Ventures and other investors, Auto Legends continues building out its ecosystem, refining mechanics, and expanding its player base. The project aims to deliver a competitive experience that combines car culture, blockchain systems, and social gameplay.
