The first half of 2026 already delivered Resident Evil Requiem, Pokemon Pokopia, and Forza Horizon 6. Now the calendar flips, and the second half looks even heavier.
Summer Game Fest locked in release dates for some of the year's most anticipated titles, including Marvel's Wolverine, Control Resonant, and The Blood of the Dawnwalker, and every single one of them is deliberately positioned away from Grand Theft Auto 6. That tells you everything about how the industry is treating November.
Here's the full lowdown on what's coming, month by month.

July is already in motion
July kicked off with High on Life 2 landing on Switch 2 on July 1, followed immediately by Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game and Rhythm Heaven Groove on July 2. The month's biggest moment for long-time fans is arguably Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on July 9, Ubisoft's remake of the beloved pirate adventure, arriving on PC, PS5, and Xbox the same day as EA Sports College Football 27 and Palworld version 1.0 (July 10).
Later in the month, Splatoon Raiders hits Switch 2 on July 23 alongside Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster for the same platform. Halo: Campaign Evolved drops July 28 across Xbox, PS5, and PC, which is a significant multiplatform move for the franchise.
August stacks up quietly before the fall rush
August looks like a breather on paper, but there's real depth here. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls arrives August 6 on PS5 and PC, bringing a Marvel-branded fighter that's been building hype since its reveal. Lies of P finally comes to Switch 2 on the same day.
The back end of August is where things accelerate. Star Wars Zero Company, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy all land on August 27. Then Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition closes the month on August 28 with its Switch 2 debut.
That's four major releases in a single week. You'll want to plan your budget carefully.
September is where the year shifts gear
September 3 opens with The Blood of the Dawnwalker on PC, PS5, and Xbox, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword follows just one day later on September 4 across all major platforms. Two high-profile action games in 48 hours.
Then September 15 arrives. Marvel's Wolverine launches exclusively on PS5, one of PlayStation's biggest first-party bets of the year. The same day brings Runescape: Dragonwilds to PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. Check out the Saros release date and exact start times guide for a sense of how to prep for major launches like this.
Control Resonant closes out the month on September 24, alongside Silent Hill Townfall on PS5 and PC, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and Dune: Awakening's console launch on September 22. September is genuinely stacked.
October through December: the endgame
October opens October 6 with Gears of War: E-Day as a console exclusive on Xbox and PC, alongside Star Wars: Galactic Racer on the same day. Castlevania: Belmont's Curse arrives October 15, and Final Fantasy Resonance lands October 22 across every major platform.
November is essentially a two-game month by design. Metaphor: ReFantazio hits Switch 2 on November 12, and then Grand Theft Auto 6 drops November 19 on PS5 and Xbox. Every other major publisher has cleared the runway around that date. The question of whether Rockstar holds that November 19 slot has been the industry's most-discussed scheduling topic all year.
December wraps with Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition both on December 3.
The TBC pile is enormous
Beyond the confirmed dates, there's a significant list of games still sitting without firm windows. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2, Lord of the Fallen 2, Danganronpa 2x2, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4, and Witchbrook all carry 2026 windows without specific dates attached. STALKER 2: Cost of Hope is slated for Summer 2026 on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
For games already confirmed with exact launch times, the Invincible VS release date guide is a good example of the kind of region-by-region breakdown worth checking before any major drop. More of those are coming as TBC titles lock in.
The rest of 2026 is genuinely one of the most loaded second halves in recent memory. Keep an eye on our gaming guides hub as more release windows firm up over the coming weeks.
