The scalpers are not going to be happy about this one. Amazon has relisted the A Nightmare on Elm Street 7-Film Steelbook Library Case at its original $159.99 price point, effectively torching the secondary market listings that had been running at multiples of that on eBay.

What happened with the original release
The first run of this collection dropped as an Amazon exclusive in late 2025, with Warner Bros. capping production at just 15,000 copies. That hard limit turned it into an instant collector's item, and the resale market responded accordingly. Anyone who missed the initial window was looking at prices that made the original MSRP feel like a distant memory.
The reprint changes that calculus entirely. The new listing is priced at $159.99 and is currently available as a preorder, with physical copies shipping September 15, 2026. Amazon's Preorder Price Guarantee applies, so if the price drops before it ships, you'll pay the lower amount.
What you get (and what's missing this time)
The collection covers all seven films in the franchise across individual 4K UHD steelbooks. Each one uses unique artwork based on the original theatrical posters, with consistent black backgrounds across the set for a unified shelf presence. The outer box carries Freddy Krueger's signature black and red stripes.

Here's the thing worth knowing: this collection was actually the first time films two through seven received the 4K UHD treatment at all. The original 1984 film had gotten the upgrade previously, but the rest of the franchise had been stuck at lower resolutions until this set arrived.
The other thing to flag: the entire franchise is largely absent from streaming platforms right now. Physical media is genuinely the primary way to watch most of these films in any quality, which makes this set more practical than it might seem at first glance.
The franchise is heating up again
Timing matters here. Paramount recently signed a deal with Wes Craven's estate to acquire U.S. rights to the franchise, with a reboot currently in development. That would mark Freddy Krueger's first film appearance since the 2010 reboot directed by Samuel Bayer, and renewed interest in the original series tends to follow that kind of announcement.
Freddy has also been keeping a lower profile in gaming, with his most notable recent appearance being in Dead by Daylight. Horror fans who want to revisit the source material before a new film arrives now have a clean path to do it.
