Capcom's Pragmata launched on April 17, 2026, and players who've rolled credits are now discovering that the real content grind starts after the final boss. The post-game mode called Unknown Signal is where the bulk of that endgame lives, and it hands out some genuinely worthwhile rewards for players willing to put in the work.
What Unknown Signal actually is
Here's the thing: you can't just keep playing freely after the credits roll. Pragmata locks you into two options at that point. You can load into Unknown Signal, which drops you right before the final boss using your completed save data, or you can start a New Game+. Unknown Signal isn't a continuation of the story in the traditional sense. It's a separate mode that opens up a brand new sector with a series of missions that play similarly to the training missions from the main campaign.
Beat the first Unknown Signal mission and the tram system opens back up, letting you travel to any previous sector or return to your shelter. Big Cabin also hands over the level 5 shelter key at this point, which unlocks new upgrade tiers for your equipment.
There are 10 Unknown Signal missions in total, and most of them have unlock requirements attached. Expect to 100% specific sectors and take down new enhanced boss variants before certain missions become available.
The rewards waiting at the finish line
Completing all 10 Unknown Signal missions pays out three distinct rewards:
- New outfits for Hugh and Diana
- The Lim Cannon, a brand new weapon
- A new secret mod
That secret mod is the key to everything else. Equip it, head back to the final area of Sector 6 via the tram, and beat the final boss again. The fight is noticeably harder this time, but clearing it earns the The Right Man for the Job trophy/achievement and triggers a new story snippet in the ending cutscene. That snippet is the closest thing Pragmata has to a true ending, and you won't see it any other way.
danger
Save your game after beating the final boss with the secret mod equipped. That new complete save data carries all your post-game progress into New Game+, so skipping this step means potentially repeating content you've already cleared.
The most efficient path through the mode
The recommended order makes a real difference here. Bouncing between Unknown Signal missions and sector completion as blockers appear keeps the pacing varied and avoids grinding out all the sectors in one long stretch before touching any missions. That said, if you prefer to sweep every sector clean before tackling the missions back-to-back, that works too.
A few things worth keeping in mind while running back through sectors:
- Mini Cabin figures don't count toward sector completion percentage, so they won't unlock Unknown Signal missions. There is a separate trophy for collecting all of them, though.
- Training missions that you haven't three-starred should be handled before starting New Game+, since the training room availability in NG+ isn't guaranteed until you clear certain conditions.
- Stamp book progress and gameplay-specific trophies (ones tied to defeating enemies in particular ways) are best handled during these sector revisits.
The full checklist, condensed: finish the main story, start Unknown Signal, complete all 10 missions while fulfilling sector and boss requirements, beat the final boss again with the secret mod, save, then launch New Game+.
Why this matters for the New Game+ run
New Game+ and Lunatic Mode are waiting on the other side of all this, but rushing into them before finishing Unknown Signal is a trap. All the progress, unlocks, and rewards from the post-game carry over into your NG+ run. Starting NG+ early just means you'll be backtracking through content you could have cleared more efficiently beforehand.
