Resident Evil Requiem Gets Story DLC ...

A Chinese leaker who correctly predicted multiple narrative details about Resident Evil Requiem before its February 27 launch now claims Capcom has two story DLCs in development for the game. The alleged expansions would pair Leon S. Kennedy with Alyssa Ashcroft in one, and Chris Redfield with Ada Wong in the other.

None of this is confirmed. Capcom has not announced either DLC, and the information originates from a translated social media post that has been making the rounds. The leaker's prior accuracy is the main reason this has gained traction.

What the leak actually claims

The translated post describes the first DLC as centering on Leon and Alyssa, which would likely function as a prequel to the main game given where both characters stand in the base story. The second DLC reportedly brings back Chris and Ada as the starring duo. The same leaker also mentioned a new minigame or arcade-style mode arriving separately, which lines up with earlier chatter about a Mercenaries-style update expected this month.

There's a wrinkle, though. A separate, conflicting leak claimed a DLC called Extraction was coming in May featuring Leon and Ada together. That specific claim was quickly shot down by Dusk Golem, a well-known Resident Evil leaker, who called it "bulls**t" on social media. Dusk Golem did clarify he still believes Ada will appear in Requiem DLC at some point, just not in the form that particular rumor described. So the two leaks are not describing the same thing, and the Extraction claim appears to be the less reliable of the two.

None of this is official. No release dates, pricing, platform details, or DLC titles have been announced by Capcom. Treat all of this as rumor until something concrete drops.

Why the Chris and Ada pairing has people talking

Here's the thing: Chris and Ada sharing a DLC spotlight would be genuinely unusual. The two have rarely been in direct focus together across the entire series. Their most notable overlap came in Resident Evil 6, where Chris spends a large portion of his campaign hunting Ada, only to eventually discover he was actually chasing Carla Radames, a clone engineered to look like her. Ada's own campaign in that game runs parallel and ultimately exposes the whole situation. That history makes a direct Chris-and-Ada pairing in a DLC setting more interesting than it might first appear.

Ada's involvement in Requiem content has been rumored for a while. Her RE4 remake voice actress, Lily Gao, appeared to hint at a return via an Instagram post, though the caption was later edited. That alone kept speculation alive well before this latest leak surfaced.

Leon and Alyssa as a prequel setup

The Leon-and-Alyssa DLC is the one that feels more narratively tidy. Alyssa Ashcroft is Grace's mother in the base game, and her backstory with Leon is something Requiem players have been curious about since finishing the main campaign. A prequel DLC filling in that gap would answer real questions the base game leaves open, which is probably why this particular pairing is generating as much interest as the Chris-Ada one.

Leon's role in Requiem was arguably gaming's worst-kept secret before launch, so seeing him headline DLC content would not surprise anyone. The question is whether Capcom goes prequel, post-game, or something else entirely.

When might Capcom actually announce something

With major summer gaming showcases roughly a month out, that window is the most logical time for Capcom to make any DLC announcements official. The minigame update is reportedly dropping this month, which would give Capcom a natural platform to tease what comes next. Requiem sold 5 million copies in under a week after launch, so the audience for post-launch content is clearly there.
