Rumble Kong League, the mobile basketball game built on the Avalanche blockchain, has secured a partnership with Gatorade. The sports drink brand will integrate into the game through various in-game features when the title launches this summer.
The collaboration makes Gatorade the official sports drink partner of Rumble Kong League, with PepsiCo backing the deal. Gatorade's brand account on Twitter amplified the announcement by retweeting it, signaling the company's interest in reaching gaming audiences.

In-game Gatorade vending machine
The centerpiece of the partnership is the "G-Machine," a virtual vending machine that dispenses digital collectibles. Players earn G-Coins through gameplay and spend them at the G-Machine to unlock Gatorade-branded items and other digital goods.
These items aren't limited to matches. Players can equip Gatorade gear both during games and while exploring the open-world city environment between matches. The branded items span three collections: Vintage, Hydroslam, and G-Gear, covering a range of digital apparel and accessories.
Blurring physical and digital worlds
Rumble Kong League CEO Nick Vale framed the partnership as an experiment in fan engagement: "We're thrilled to partner with Gatorade to bring fun and innovative experiences to the global gaming community. Together, we're pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming while offering a glimpse into the future of fan engagement, where the lines between physical and digital worlds blur."
The game has NBA backing. Paul George supports the project, and Steph Curry's Penny Jar Capital has invested in it. Curry has a history with NFT projects, including the Bored Ape Yacht Club and LinksDAO, making his involvement unsurprising.
Ethereum to Avalanche migration
Rumble Kong League originally launched its NFTs on Ethereum but moved to Avalanche for faster transactions and lower fees. The project has enabled NFT asset migration for existing holders, a shift announced through its official Twitter account.
The game launches this summer on iOS and Android. The Gatorade partnership positions Rumble Kong League as a test case for how traditional brands can integrate into blockchain-based mobile games without making the blockchain the story.
