Treeverse, the anticipated open-world MMORPG developed by Endless Clouds, has officially launched its alpha phase. At this stage, access is exclusively available to holders of Treeverse Plots, Timeless characters, and NFTrees. This marks a significant milestone in the game's development, bringing early adopters closer to experiencing the world of Lorwick before a wider public release.

About Treeverse
Treeverse is a top-down MMORPG set in the city of Lorwick within the world of Arboros. The game centers on exploration, combat, and crafting, with a heavy focus on social interaction and cooperative gameplay. Drawing inspiration from classic MMORPGs like RuneScape, Treeverse uses a classless progression system that lets players define their own playstyles through a knowledge tree. Players can complete quests, battle creatures, gather resources, and craft items.
One standout feature is the ability to own and customize land through Treeverse Plots. These spaces function as social hubs or personal areas for crafting and trading. NFTrees provide an in-game economic function, letting owners grow and sell resources within the game's ecosystem. Timeless Characters, another NFT collection, serve as in-game avatars, giving holders a distinctive identity in the game world.

Alpha Phase Access and NFTs
The alpha phase is currently limited to those who own specific Treeverse NFTs. Holders of Treeverse Plots, which represent land ownership within the game, Timeless characters, which serve as unique playable avatars, and NFTrees, which contribute to the in-game economy, can participate. To gain access, eligible players must complete a registration form. The developers have stated that this whitelist-only phase is a testing period before broader availability.
Treeverse is launching as a mobile-first game, with priority given to Android and iOS users. Android players can download the game directly from the Google Play Store, while iOS users must apply for access through a registration form because of Testflight's user limitations. A Windows version is in development, but the current focus remains on optimizing the mobile experience before expanding to other platforms.
Whitelist Requirements and Wallet Setup
Installing the game doesn't grant immediate access. Players must whitelist their wallets through Immutable Passport to log in. This process involves signing in to Immutable Sandbox, linking an external wallet, and connecting a MetaMask wallet that holds Treeverse assets. Without completing this step, even eligible NFT holders won't be able to enter the game.
This alpha phase doesn't offer any rewards. The developers have confirmed that a reward campaign will be introduced during the public alpha phase, giving early testers additional incentives once the game moves beyond its initial closed testing period.

Development and Future Plans
Treeverse was first introduced in 2021 by Loopify, an NFT collector and creator. Initially conceived as a digital NFT project, it has since evolved into a full-fledged MMORPG with web3 integration. Endless Clouds, the development studio behind the game, consists of over 50 developers with experience working on major titles like League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, and Horizon Zero Dawn.
The development team has outlined future plans that include a Windows release following the mobile alpha phase. The next major milestone will be the public alpha, which will introduce a reward system and expand access beyond NFT holders. As the game continues to develop, further utility for Treeverse Plots, Timeless Characters, and NFTrees is expected to be introduced.
With the alpha phase now live for NFT holders, the next steps in Treeverse's development will bring the game closer to a full release. Players who hold eligible NFTs now have the opportunity to explore Lorwick ahead of the general public, while others can expect further updates and the eventual public alpha launch.
