To power its DVN, Ubisoft has integrated LayerZero’s omnichain messaging protocol, which connects more than 130 blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon. This integration supports the transfer of digital assets across chains while maintaining data integrity and ownership verification. With this approach, Ubisoft aims to offer users the ability to interact with their assets across multiple platforms without being confined to a single ecosystem.
The use of LayerZero’s ONFT (Omnichain Non-Fungible Token) and OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standards allows Ubisoft to maintain greater oversight of how assets are used and moved. This includes support for non-fungible tokens, profile pictures (PFPs), and in-game currencies that players can utilize in different environments.
