Zeeverse Introduces Play to Airdrop on Ronin Network

Zeeverse, a free-to-play monster-taming MMORPG, has officially launched its Play to Airdrop (P2A) campaign on the Ronin network. This move follows the recent shutdown of the Treasure Chain, where the game was previously hosted. With 150 million $TREE tokens allocated to the campaign, players now have the opportunity to earn rewards by participating in various in-game activities and community events.

The transition to Ronin was prompted by the decision of Treasure DAO to discontinue its game publishing operations on the zkSync-powered Treasure Chain. In response, Zeeverse selected Ronin, a blockchain developed by Sky Mavis and optimized for gaming, as its new platform. Prior to the airdrop campaign, Zeeverse launched "The Oath," a collaborative mint that marked its entry into the Ronin ecosystem. Alongside this debut, the game also introduced gameplay improvements and adjustments to its token systems to better align with Ronin's infrastructure.

Zeeverse places players in the role of Shamans within a vibrant and evolving game world. The gameplay combines elements of creature collection, turn-based combat, and resource gathering. Players can explore the environment, encounter and train mystical creatures known as Zees, and engage in both player-versus-environment (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) challenges. Activities such as dungeon exploration, heist raids, and crafting offer a range of strategic and skill-based opportunities.

The game operates on a dual-token system. $VEE serves as the in-game utility token, used for upgrades, crafting, and marketplace transactions. Players earn $VEE by converting in-game resources obtained through various tasks and quests. The $TREE token, on the other hand, functions as a governance and ecosystem token, providing holders with voting rights and access to future airdrops and cross-game advantages.

150 million $TREE tokens up for grabs

The first phase of the Play to Airdrop campaign, titled "ZEE Beginning," is now live. The campaign rewards players based on engagement levels. Participants can earn points by completing story-based quests, achieving milestones in the referral-based Ambassador program, joining Zeeverse's official social platforms, and exploring the game's lore through hidden puzzles and narrative content.

To join the campaign, players must visit the official Zeeverse website, navigate to the Play to Airdrop page, and connect their Ronin wallet. Tasks are organized in a skill-tree format, where completion of one task may unlock additional ones. As players accumulate points, their eventual share of the 150 million $TREE token pool is determined.

Ownership of certain NFTs also contributes to a higher point total. Players holding Genesis Masks or various tiers of Zeeverse Land NFTs receive bonus multipliers, with higher rarity lands offering greater boosts. Transferred NFTs do not retain their bonus until returned to the original wallet. Ambassador level also plays a role in point accumulation, giving further advantages to players active in promoting the game.

What's next for Zeeverse

The Play to Airdrop campaign is designed to roll out in multiple phases, with Phase 2 scheduled to begin on June 18. Future phases will introduce new gameplay features, expanded mechanics, and additional partnership announcements. The narrative elements within the game are also expected to develop further, offering players continued engagement through story progression.

Zeeverse's integration with the Ronin network reflects a broader trend in web3 gaming, where developers seek stable and game-optimized blockchains. Ronin, already home to titles such as Axie Infinity, is seeing continued expansion with the addition of Zeeverse and other projects like Craft World by VOYA Games. The launch of Zeeverse's P2A campaign not only offers new earning opportunities for players but also reinforces Ronin's role as a growing hub for web3 gaming experiences.
