Game Lore
The game's narrative revolves around a sentient virus named MARA that has invaded Everreach, a virtual world inhabited by humans after an apocalypse destroyed the surface of the earth. MARA has been infecting different zones of Everreach on a mission to claim this virtual world and all the knowledge stored there for herself, thus twisting humanity’s last hope into a hallucinatory nightmare. The architects of Everreach have managed to quarantine the areas where she’s infected and trap her inside the REVENGE arena, but her virtual prison won’t hold for long. Players referred to as Reachers, are tasked with infiltrating these surreal landscapes to reclaim data stolen by MARA, uncover the mysteries of her origin, and force her out of the ecosystem before she can destroy it—and the future of humanity—forever.
Gameplay and Features
Reachers infiltrate REVENGE in teams consisting of three distinct roles that all play a pivotal role in the match. These roles are designed to unite active players and the people watching the game in new, exciting ways:
- Raiders: Four frontline players who enter the REVENGE arena and fight through MARA’s minions to push them back and reclaim what she’s stolen from the Everreach.
- Guides: Teams of four players who have a third-person view of the action, allowing them to direct Raiders toward different elements of the arena and warn them of upcoming challenges.
- Oracles: Viewers who have the ability to vote on different game conditions, provide aid, buffs, and relief to players or the enemies they face!
These roles are all essential for the overall game play experience. Since spectator interaction is built into the game, every REVENGE match will unfold in exciting, unexpected ways, as the match can be heavily influenced by the collective decisions spectators take during the game.
Game Modes
REVENGE is built around a core PvE extraction shooter experience where each run is defined by risk, progression, and the constant tension between pushing deeper or extracting alive. Players deploy as a coordinated squad into hostile environments, starting with limited gear and upgrading their loadout through combat, exploration, and in-run objectives. Encounters escalate dynamically as players move through the map, facing increasingly dangerous enemy types and environmental threats. Success depends on tactical decision-making, team coordination, and knowing when to extract before everything is lost. Future updates will expand the experience with additional extraction-based variations and new gameplay modes, further deepening replayability and long-term engagement.
