Anime Last Stand throws dozens of anime-inspired units at you, and picking the wrong ones early means you'll be watching waves clear your defenses before you even understand what went wrong. This tier list cuts through the noise and tells you exactly which units are worth building around right now, which ones are serviceable fillers, and which ones you should ignore entirely. The roster pulls from franchises you already know, including Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z, so some picks will feel obvious once you see them ranked.

Anime Last Stand tier list: all units ranked

The rankings below reflect the current meta as of June 2026, combining observed unit performance with community consensus. Tier lists are inherently subjective, so if a unit you love lands in B or C tier, that doesn't mean you can't make it work. It just means you'll need to play around its limitations more deliberately.

S tier: the units you build around

S tier in Anime Last Stand is genuinely strong right now. These are the units that carry runs, anchor team compositions, and make difficult waves feel manageable.

A tier: strong picks that hold their own

A-tier units are reliable and worth investing in, especially if S-tier options aren't available to you yet. Many of these can carry you through mid-game content without issue.

B tier: situational but usable

B-tier units aren't bad. They'll get you through earlier content and serve as decent placeholders while you farm for better options. Some have specific wave or mode matchups where they outperform their ranking.

Notable B-tier units include Baldy (Bored), Water Breather Master, Akeno, Vagata (Super), Gogata, Noble Captain, Roro, Lenji Demon Leg, Riku, Hero Hunter (base), Light Admiral, Chief Hunter, Mad Tough, Flash, Gerp (base form), Swordman Mythic, Explosive Bloody Demon, Boxer, Captain Commander, Flame Breather, Crimson Commander, Almight Ninja (Paths), Beast Breather, Black Swordsman (Evolved), Cascua, Tanker, Zuffy (base), Businessman Yojin, Armean (Prodigy), Blizzard Esper, and Delty (Tyrant).

C tier: falling behind the meta

C-tier units were stronger in earlier patches and may still have fans, but the meta has generally moved past them. Use them only if you have nothing better available.

C-tier includes: Nemak Warrior, Shinra, Kon, Pride (Night), Lenji, Zuffy (Lobby), The Trio, Lovely Arrancar, Isekai Demon King, Vesh, Grimjaw (base), Wish Dragon Evo, Golden Admiral (base), Boku (base), Water Goddess, Disciple Witch, The Ascended Mage, Meteor Guard, Bombi, and Wind Prince (Assimilation).

D tier: avoid if possible

These units are outclassed in almost every scenario. They're not worth upgrading or building around in the current meta.

D-tier units: Director General, Ichigo (Kai), Wind Pillar, Roro (base), Denji, Pride (Starter), Compass Demon, Asta (base), Vagata (base), Ichiko, Kazuu, Karuto, Burning Hero, Kirito, P-p-prisoner, Beast (base), Division Vice Captain, Zami, and Furn (Apprentice).

How do rerolls work in Anime Last Stand?

This is where a lot of new players get confused. Rerolling in Anime Last Stand does not give you a new hero. You can't reroll your way to a specific unit. What rerolls actually do is change the techniques attached to a unit, which are essentially the abilities that modify how that unit performs in the field.

To perform a reroll, head to the techniques circle in the hub and tap the reroll button. If the technique you land on isn't what you wanted, you use another reroll and try again. The system is straightforward, but burning through rerolls on a low-tier unit is a waste.

Rerolls accumulate through completing levels and general gameplay, but the supply from those sources is slow. Prioritize spending rerolls on S-tier or high A-tier units where the technique difference actually matters for your run outcomes.

What's the best team composition in Anime Last Stand?

The strongest compositions right now lean on S-tier damage dealers backed by at least one utility or support unit. Baldy (Serious), Fused Warrior (Super), and Shadow (Atomic) form a high-damage core that handles most wave types. Slot in Angel or Time Goddess (Angel) for support coverage and you have a team that scales well into harder content.

For players still building toward S-tier, pairing two or three A-tier units like Strongest Sorcerer, Pirate King, and Surgeon of Death (Room) gives you a functional mid-game team that won't fall apart before you hit the waves where unit quality really separates players.

Where to find more Roblox tower defense rankings

Anime Last Stand sits in a crowded genre on Roblox, and understanding where it fits helps you decide whether to commit to it long-term. If you play multiple tower defense games and want to compare unit rankings across the genre, the Anime Vanguards best units tier list covers the Update 11.5 meta in detail, while the Universal Tower Defense tier list ranks every UTD unit from S to D tier with summon tips.

For players who enjoy the anime unit-ranking format but want to explore other games, the Anime Crusaders tier list breaks down the best 6-unit team builds across that roster. You'll find all of these and more in the full Roblox guides collection at GAMES.GG.
