Beating high-level content in Anime Squadron takes more than good units and lucky trait rolls. Gear is the missing piece. Each equipment item stacks meaningful stat bonuses onto your units, and equipping two or more pieces from the same set triggers bonus effects that can genuinely change how a fight plays out. This guide covers every crafting recipe, where to farm each material, how much gold each piece costs, and which set bonuses are worth building toward in Roblox.
How does gear crafting work in Anime Squadron?
Gear crafting happens at the Crafting NPC inside the Upgrades area. Walk up to the NPC, browse the available recipes, confirm you have the right materials and gold, then hit the Craft button. The process is straightforward, but collecting the right materials takes time since each ingredient drops from specific Story Act ranges across three worlds: Leaf Village, GT City, and Marine Lobby.
Gear comes in five rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Secret. Higher rarity means stronger base stats and higher gold costs. Secret rarity gear like the Monarch Daggers does something different entirely, unlocking unit awakenings rather than just boosting numbers.

Where to farm crafting materials
Every material in Anime Squadron drops from Story Acts, and the world you farm determines which material type you get. Each rarity tier pulls from a different Act range, so your farming location should always match the gear tier you are targeting.
- Rare materials (Currentbinder Rope, Zenkai Ore, Shinobi Bone): Acts 1-2 across Marine Lobby, GT City, and Leaf Village
- Epic materials (Depthglass Bottle, Binding Cloth, Ki Resonant Crystal): Acts 3-4 across the same three worlds
- Legendary materials (Genjutsu Fog Vial, Stormwake Sailcloth, Stellar Ki Quartz): Acts 5-6
- Mythic materials (Fuin Script Paper, Limitbreak Obsidian, Beastblood Catalyst): Acts 7-8
- Secret materials (Eclipse Godstone, Chakra Fragment, King's Haki Residue): Acts 9-10
Each piece in a set requires different quantities of each material from the three worlds. Pay attention to which world supplies which ingredient since the distribution shifts per recipe. For example, the Ninja Hoodie needs 50 Genjutsu Fog Vials from Leaf Village but only 15 Stormwake Sailcloths from Marine Lobby, while the Ninja Shoes flips those numbers.
What are the gear set bonuses in Anime Squadron?
Equipping a single Mythic piece already activates its set bonus. For Rare, Epic, and Legendary gear, you need any 2 pieces from the same set to trigger the bonus. Here is every set and what it does:
The three Mythic sets each activate from a single piece, which makes them efficient investments. The Hogyoku set cuts cooldowns by 7.5%, making it excellent on ability-heavy units. The Devil Sword set rewards aggressive, high-crit playstyles with stacking damage that can hit up to +15% DMG during sustained crits. The Devil Amulet set pairs naturally with the Devil Sword since the flat +10% Crit Chance feeds directly into the sword's stacking damage mechanic.
For players still working through mid-game content, the Ninja set offers the best value from Legendary gear. The scaling RNG bonus from taking hits means it gets stronger the longer a fight drags on, which is exactly when you need it.
