Tap Simulator Reborn hides 15 Shiny Stars across its lobby and six progression islands, and most players walk right past them. Collecting all 15 grants a permanent 4% shiny mutation buff that applies to every egg hatch on your account, which adds up fast when you are grinding rare pets. The stars are one-time collectibles tied to your profile, so once you grab them, they are yours forever. This guide covers every single location in order, from the spawn lobby straight through to the Shadow Realm.
What do Shiny Stars do in Tap Simulator Reborn?
Every Shiny Star you collect registers to your account permanently. When you find all 15, the game triggers an on-screen confirmation and applies a 4% shiny mutation buff to your profile. This increases the odds of hatching shiny pet variants from all egg types, including late-game eggs. Stars do not respawn and cannot be lost. You can collect them in any order as you unlock new areas, so there is no reason to wait.
Where are all 15 Shiny Stars located?
The 15 stars are split across 7 zones: 3 in the main Spawn Lobby and 2 on each of the 6 unlockable islands. The table below gives you a quick overview before the detailed walkthrough.
| Zone | Stars | Key Landmarks |
|---|---|---|
| Spawn Lobby | 3 | Fountain rock, Spiked Egg, Rocket Pad Tower |
| Sky Island | 2 | Portal entrance, egg stand cliff edge |
| Autumn Island | 2 | Gem Upgrade NPC, Giant Pumpkin island tree |
| Mushroom Island | 2 | Index machine, chest side island |
| Desert Island | 2 | Gold Machine, rear pyramid corner |
| Crystal Cave | 2 | Purple tree rock wall, Diamond Mutation Machine |
| Shadow Realm | 2 | Enchanting Machine crystal, Rainbow Machine crystal |
Spawn Lobby star locations (3 stars)
These three are the easiest to grab and require no island unlocks. Do them first.
Star 1: Fountain rock
From the spawn point, turn around to face away from the main area toward the ocean. Walk backward toward the coast, then turn right. The first all shiny star rests on the ground next to a grey stone near the fountain and leaderboard area.

Star 2: Behind the Spiked Egg
Cross the drawbridge into the egg yard. The Spiked Egg stand sits in front of the Sky Island portal. Circle around the back of the stand and the star is sitting directly against its rear base.

Star 3: Rocket Pad Tower
Head toward the back platforms behind the island portals. Steel blue ladders lead up to a steel open area. Climb those ladders and check the right support column near the tower structure to collect the third all shiny star.

Sky Island and Autumn Island star locations (4 stars)
Sky Island
You can reach Sky Island by walking through the portal or by double-jumping from the starter island.
- Star 4: Step through the Sky Island portal and immediately turn left. The all shiny star sits right against the perimeter border next to the entrance gate. You will miss it if you walk straight.
- Star 5: Head toward the Sky and Nimbus Egg stand. Walk to the right side of the eggs and continue to the very edge of the island cliff. The star sits on the lip overlooking the drop.
Autumn Island
- Star 6: Walk straight from the Autumn Island portal until you reach the Gems Upgrade building. The star is on the ground directly to the left of the building, next to the Windmill.
- Star 7: From the Gems Upgrade building, turn around and look left. A lone all shiny star sits at the edge of a small terrain patch next to a tree, between the shrine path and the gem upgrades.
Mushroom Island star locations (2 stars)
- Star 8: Walk straight from the Mushroom Island portal toward the Mushroom and Mycelium Egg at the far end. Look behind you to the right and spot a small side island with the Collection Index machine. Jump across and find the star next to the tree behind the terminal.
- Star 9: From the egg section, look left to find another small island with a treasure chest surrounded by glowing red and purple mushrooms. Head around the left side behind the chest and foliage to collect the all shiny star.
Desert Island, Crystal Cave, and Shadow Realm star locations (6 stars)
These are the late-game zones. You will need significant coin investment and rebirths to unlock them, but the stars themselves are straightforward once you are there.
Desert Island
- Star 10: Walk past the portal toward the Gold Machine positioned to the right of the central pyramid. The star sits directly behind the rear panel of the machine.
- Star 11: Walk around to the back of the large pyramid. The all shiny star rests against the rear-right stone corner where the structure meets the boundary rocks.
Crystal Cave
- Star 12: Head to the egg hatching stations on Crystal Cave island. Move to the right side of the eggs and look across the rocky ledge near the glowing purple tree. The star is tucked against the rock wall.
- Star 13: Find the Diamond Mutation Machine crafting station. Check behind the rock clusters flanking the back of the machine to grab the all shiny star.
Shadow Realm
- Star 14: Go to the Enchanting Machine in the Shadow Realm. Walk directly behind it toward the large dark crystal cluster on the left. The star sits at the base of the crystal.
- Star 15: Head toward the Rainbow Machine station. Check slightly to the left in the gap between the Rainbow station and the Enchanting area. The final all shiny star is behind the standalone crystal formation.
Do shiny stars respawn?
No. Each star is a one-time collectible tied to your profile. Once collected, it turns translucent or disappears from your session entirely. There is no way to collect the same star twice, and no daily reset. The 4% buff is a permanent account unlock, not a temporary boost.
Tips for finding stars faster
- Unlock islands in the standard progression order (Sky, Autumn, Mushroom, Desert, Crystal Cave, Shadow Realm) and grab both stars on each island before moving on. Backtracking wastes time.
- Stars are always hidden behind or beside named structures. If you are lost, identify the nearest landmark from the table above and check its back side.
- Double-jump upgrades make reaching several stars significantly easier, especially on Sky Island and Mushroom Island's side platforms.
- After testing all zones against the landmark descriptions, the three lobby stars and the two Sky Island stars take under two minutes combined. The Shadow Realm pair takes the longest simply because of the unlock requirements.
