We Were Here Forever hides a jigsaw puzzle across its facility, and completing it requires tracking down all 12 scattered pieces. Some sit in plain sight on tabletops. Others are tucked inside cabinets, perched near ceiling fans, or hanging above the Common Room where most players never think to look up. This guide covers every piece in exploration order, with exact locations and the one critical warning that can lock you out of finishing the puzzle entirely.

Where are all 12 jigsaw puzzle pieces in We Were Here Tomorrow?

The pieces span four main areas: the Common Room (also called the Hub), Research & Development, the Prototype Room, and the upper balcony overlooking the Common Room. Collecting them in order as you progress through the facility is the most efficient approach, since it avoids backtracking through areas you have already cleared.

Pieces 1, 2, and 3: Common Room floor

The first three pieces require almost no effort. Find the small table holding the partially assembled jigsaw puzzle in the Common Room. All three loose pieces are lying directly underneath it on the floor. Pick them up before you do anything else in the Hub.

Piece 4: Common Room dining table

Stay in the Common Room and locate the dining table with cakes, test tubes, and a notepad on its surface. The fourth piece sits right there among those objects. It blends into the clutter easily, so scan the full tabletop carefully.

How do you find the pieces in Research & Development?

The Research & Development area contains a two-story room with two key card slots that eventually connects to the Prototype Room. There are two pieces here, one on each floor.

Piece 5: R&D lower floor

From the entrance to the two-story room, turn right and go underneath the upper floor. Look for a laboratory counter (some sources describe it as a dresser) in this lower section. Piece 5 sits on top of it, near a mug.

Piece 6: R&D upper floor

Climb the staircase to the second floor and immediately look left. There is a small cabinet right beside the stairs. Open it to collect the sixth piece. Grab both pieces before leaving this room.

How do you get the jigsaw piece from the Prototype Room ceiling fan?

Piece 7 is the only one that requires active co-op coordination. It sits near the left ceiling fan in the Prototype Room.

  • Use the elevator to reach the elevated platform, or climb up via the available parkour route.
  • The player carrying the hook (pulling tool) can grab the piece directly from the spinning fan without stopping it.
  • The player with the cube-creating tool can block the fan first if needed, but this step is optional.

If the piece seems unreachable, confirm you are targeting the left fan specifically and that the hook player is in a position to interact with it from the platform.

Piece 8: Room after the Prototype tutorial

After finishing the Prototype tutorial section, you and your partner enter a small room and pull a lever together to open a door. Walk through and check the table immediately to the right of the entrance. Piece 8 is resting on it.

Piece 9: Staircase back toward the Common Room

From that same table, take the door to the left and climb the stairs leading back toward the Hub. At the top, you will find a group of stacked boxes. One box has a hard hat sitting on it. Piece 9 is lying right next to the hard hat. Check the top surfaces of the boxes rather than the floor around them.

What is the critical warning for piece 10?

This is the most important note in the entire guide. In the room before the funicular (Transit Station area), there is a dual-handled lever in the center of the room.

Piece 10: Second floor computer panel

Climb to the second floor of the room before the funicular. Once up there, look left toward the locked Control Room. A computer panel sits just outside its door. Piece 10 is resting on top of that panel. You do not need to enter the Control Room to collect it.

Pieces 11 and 12: Common Room balcony

From the same second floor, go through the door leading out to the Common Room balcony.

  • Piece 11 is near a small cabinet to the left of a computer on the right side of the balcony. Check the cabinet's shelves.
  • Piece 12 requires looking up. Turn to face the Common Room from the balcony and look toward the ceiling lights (chandeliers) hanging above the main lounge. The final piece is positioned up near those overhead fixtures. Most players miss it because every other piece in the game is at floor or furniture level.

What happens when you complete the jigsaw puzzle?

Once you have all 12 pieces, return to the Common Room and bring them to the partially assembled puzzle on the small table. Completing it does not unlock an achievement, but the developers have included a special surprise for players who finish it, particularly fans familiar with the broader We Were Here series.
