Learn how Replicators work in Apex Legends, what items they provide, and how to use them effectively during a match.

What Are Replicators?

Replicators are crafting stations located across the map that provide essential items to players. They are free to use, but each player can only select one available item per Replicator , after which that station becomes unavailable to them. Teammates can still use the same Replicator independently for their own crafts.

How to Use a Replicator

  1. Find a Replicator on the map.
  2. Interact with it.
  3. Select one available item.
  4. Wait for the item to print.
  5. Collect the crafted item.

After crafting, that Replicator is exhausted for your Legend. You will need to find another Replicator to craft again.

What Can You Craft?

Replicators offer a limited set of essential items, including:

  • Shield Batteries
  • Med Kits
  • Ammunition
  • Teammate Banners (Support Legends only)

Crafting Teammate Banners

One of the most important Replicator features is banner recovery. Support Legends can craft expired teammate banners at Replicators, allowing squads to revive eliminated teammates even after their banners have timed out. This makes Support Legends especially valuable in Battle Royale and Ranked matches.

tip
If you are playing a Support Legend, always check nearby Replicators after a teammate is eliminated , crafting their banner can turn a losing fight into a full squad comeback.

Replicator Tips

  • Since each Replicator is single-use per player, avoid wasting it on items you already have or don't urgently need.
  • Shield Batteries are often the most valuable crafting option, especially heading into late-game fights.
  • Replicators become increasingly valuable as loot grows scarce in the later rings.
  • If your squad rotates through several POIs, you can craft more than once by locating additional Replicators across the map.
  • Replicators make noise when in use and can attract nearby enemy squads , stay alert while crafting.
warning
Standing still while crafting leaves you vulnerable. Always check your surroundings and have a teammate cover you before interacting with a Replicator.

Common Mistakes

  • Using a Replicator too early in the match before knowing what you truly need.
  • Crafting items you already have in your inventory.
  • Ignoring Replicators entirely, missing out on free essential supplies.
  • Standing still without cover while the crafting animation plays out.
  • Forgetting that Support Legends have the exclusive ability to craft teammate banners.

Final Thoughts

Replicators are quick utility stations that help players restock important supplies at no cost. Because they are free but limited to one use per player, the key is knowing when to use them and choosing the item that gives your squad the biggest advantage. A well-timed Shield Battery or a crafted teammate banner can often be the difference between elimination and victory.
