Esports and competitive multiplayer tournaments are still finding their footing in web3 gaming, but Exeedme is making moves to build a grassroots tournament organizer culture and support community members who want to run competitions. The company has launched its Tournament Grants initiative.
The Tournament Grants program aims to provide tools that improve how competitions are administered and organized while backing prize pools for participating communities. Exeedme has already paid out over $150,000 to both professional and amateur players through community tournaments, spanning web3 titles like EV.IO in the shooters genre and traditional games like Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
Organizers applying for Tournament Grants need prior experience running gaming tournaments. Exeedme currently prioritizes traditional games but will consider web3 game tournaments if the expected participant count justifies it.
Applicants must provide complete tournament details: format, dates, total prize pool, confirmation that the event will be streamed, and a post-tournament report for the Exeedme team.
