Far Far West Guide: All Desert Music Disc Fragment Locations

Far Far West scatters Music Disc Fragments throughout every map, and the Desert holds three of them. Collect all three and you unlock the Train Rush soundtrack automatically — one of the best tracks in the game and worth the short detour. The Desert map is available from the moment you start playing, so you can grab these fragments whenever you want, even split across multiple sessions. Each fragment spawns in the same spot every time, so there's no randomization to worry about.

Where are all 3 Desert Music Disc Fragment locations?

The Desert map contains exactly three Music Disc Fragments. None require quest completion or progression milestones. Here's where to find each one.

Fragment 1: The oasis mountain

Navigate to the center of the Desert map where a large oasis sits surrounded by palm trees. A mountain rises on the western side of this oasis. Walk along the western map edge until you reach the point where the mountain meets the oasis, and the first Music Disc Fragment will be sitting out in the open. Once you're standing at the correct spot, the fragment is immediately visible without additional searching.

info
The oasis is the most recognizable landmark in the center of the Desert. Use it as your reference point and walk west along the base of the mountain.

Fragment 2: The pyramid rock formation

Move to the northeastern section of the Desert map. Look for a cluster of large rocks stacked in a pyramid configuration. Circle around to the northern side of this formation and you'll spot a small gap or recess in the rocks. The second Music Disc Fragment sits inside that gap. The entrance is on the northern side, so approaching from the south won't reveal it.

info
Fragments persist across multiple runs. If you miss one during a session, it remains in the same location for your next attempt.

Fragment 3: The wooden tower

Head to the eastern border of the map, roughly mid-southern section. You're looking for a tall wooden tower with a shed at its base. A ladder runs up the side of the structure. Climb the ladder to the top and the third Music Disc Fragment will be resting on a barrel. This is the only vertical climb of the three, but the ladder makes it straightforward.

What do the Desert Music Disc Fragments unlock?

Collecting all three fragments unlocks the Train Rush track automatically. To listen to it, return to the Saloon hub area and exit the building. The store you need is directly across from the Weapons Vendor, so it's hard to miss. Go inside, claim the disc, and use the music disc player to hear the track.

The Train Rush soundtrack is legitimately good and worth hunting down. The search itself fits naturally into the exploration loop Far Far West encourages across all its maps. Every map in the game has its own set of Music Disc Fragments tied to a different track, so the Desert collection is just the first of several.

info
The store where you claim the disc is directly across from the Weapons Vendor in the Saloon hub. If you've already visited the vendor, you know exactly where to go.
