Gamble With Your Friends is a cooperative party game where your shared cash pot and limited ticket supply mean every decision carries real weight. One player going rogue with a reckless bet can torpedo the whole run. Get organized, play smart with your items, and know which tables are worth your time — and you will walk away with a profit and your friendships intact.

How should you spend your tickets before a run?

Tickets are your most finite resource, and the temptation to blow them on cosmetics is real. Here is the thing: you do not have to choose between looking good and playing smart.

Start a solo session first and buy every available cosmetic outfit using those tickets, then quit and reload a new game. Everything you purchase is permanent, so this trick lets you build out a full wardrobe without touching the tickets you need for actual runs. Once you are playing with friends, every ticket earned stays available for items that improve your luck or increase your profits at the casino.

Rerolling challenges costs tickets too, so budget carefully. The Loan Shark offers challenges that can range from straightforward to genuinely frustrating. If you land on something like "get X wins in a row" and the run is already shaky, spending one or two tickets to reroll for a more achievable challenge is worth it. Just do not drain your whole supply chasing a perfect challenge, because you need those tickets for items on the floor.

What items are worth prioritizing?

Not every item in the shop carries equal value, and your group should discuss priorities before anyone starts spending. Each player can only hold one item at a time, which makes coordination before you hit the casino floor non-negotiable.

The Golden Chip sits at the top of the item tier list. It effectively lets you bet big without the risk of losing, which makes it worth picking up every single time it appears. If it is not in the current shop rotation, spending a ticket or two to reroll the item selection in hopes of finding it is a reasonable gamble. When you do get one, pair it with the machine that has the highest maximum bet and the best payout — that combination squeezes the most value out of the chip.

The Holy Statue is the other standout item, and it works best at the Street Craps table specifically (more on that below). Insurance fills a similar protective role but can only be used once, so it is a backup option rather than a primary strategy.

How does team structure change your results?

This is a team game in every practical sense. You share the cash pot and the ticket bank, so a single player making unilateral decisions can wreck a run that everyone else built carefully.

Designate a treasurer before you enter the casino. This person tracks the pot, sets betting limits, and approves any big swings. Whether they patrol the floor checking in on each player or set a hard per-player spending cap upfront is up to your group, but having one person with authority over the pot prevents the chaos of four people betting independently with no visibility into the shared balance.

You only have 5 minutes on the casino floor. Splitting into pairs or going solo with a clear plan is more efficient than moving as a group. Do all your organizing in the lobby, then execute on the floor. The players who spend their lobby time chatting and their floor time arguing about what to do next are the ones who leave with nothing.

What is the best table strategy for Street Craps?

Street Craps offers some of the best odds in the casino, and with the right item setup it becomes close to a guaranteed profit machine.

The table works in two phases: your first roll either wins outright, loses outright, or enters a Point Phase where you keep rolling until you hit your point or a seven. The Holy Statue prevents all losses nearby when activated, so if you roll a losing number on that first roll, activating the statue blocks the loss. You either win or enter the Point Phase with no downside. Bet big, have one reliable player dedicated solely to Holy Statue activation, and communicate clearly so they do not miss the trigger.

There is also a less orthodox approach involving the baseball bats scattered around the lobby. You cannot carry one from the lobby or the car, but there is always a bat to the left of the elevator at the casino. Grab it at the Street Craps table, start a game, roll the dice, and then hit the second die until it shows the number you need. This is an exploit the game has not patched out as of writing, so use it at your own discretion.

What should you do when a run goes badly?

Sometimes luck just is not there. Bad rolls, missed activations, and a depleted pot can make a run feel unsalvageable before you even reach the halfway point.

The game supports what players call savescumming: quitting before you leave the casino and reloading, which returns your team to the lobby as if the run never happened. Purist players will want to live with every outcome, but for groups who are there to have fun rather than suffer through a catastrophic loss, there is no penalty for starting over. Your progress resets cleanly, and everyone loads back into the lobby ready to try again with a better plan.

For everything else you need to know about maximizing your runs, the Gamble With Your Friends guides collection covers items, tickets, and advanced strategies in detail.

Quick-reference tips for your next run

  • Buy all cosmetics in a solo session first so run tickets stay available for items
  • Reroll Loan Shark challenges you cannot complete, but keep at least enough tickets for floor items
  • Assign the Golden Chip to the player most likely to find the highest-bet machine
  • Put your most reliable player on Holy Statue duty at Street Craps
  • Appoint a treasurer before entering the casino and give them real authority
  • Split up on the floor with a plan already agreed in the lobby
  • Pick up the baseball bat near the elevator if you want an edge at Street Craps
  • Savescum without guilt if the run collapses due to bad luck

Gamble With Your Friends fits comfortably alongside other adventure games that reward coordination and planning over pure reflexes. Get your team organized, respect the ticket budget, and the casino becomes a lot more profitable than it has any right to be.
