In a bid to revolutionize the anime fandom experience, Arbitrum Foundation has announced a strategic collaboration with Azuki and Weeb3 Foundation to launch AnimeChain, a web3 network tailored to anime enthusiasts. The partnership aims to leverage blockchain technology to elevate the anime experience globally, encompassing content, gaming, merchandise, and NFTs.

The initiative, named AnimeChain, is poised to reshape the landscape of anime consumption and creation. Through this venture, the three organizations seek to address the fragmented nature of the anime ecosystem in web3, providing a cohesive platform for fans and creators alike.

Nina Rong, the head of ecosystem development at Arbitrum Foundation, expressed confidence in AnimeChain's potential to redefine anime engagement. She highlighted Arbitrum's cutting-edge blockchain scaling technology as a key enabler in transforming the anime landscape.

This collaboration comes on the heels of Arbitrum Foundation's recent initiatives in the gaming and entertainment sectors. Arbitrum Foundation revealed plans to finance a feature-length film by acclaimed filmmaker Shane Boris, signaling its commitment to diverse entertainment ventures.

In another recent announcement, the Arbitrum Foundation has revealed its ambitious "Gaming Catalyst Program". The foundation seeks to earmark approximately $400 million over the next two years. The primary objective of this initiative is to entice publishers and developers into creating video games utilizing its blockchain technology.

Anime Market Worth $60 Billion

The decision to venture into the anime space aligns with the booming growth of the global anime market, which is projected to surpass $60 billion by 2030. Recognizing this lucrative opportunity, the stakeholders behind AnimeChain are poised to capitalize on the rising demand for anime content and experiences.

Zagabond, CEO of Azuki, expressed enthusiasm about being the inaugural launch partner for AnimeChain. Azuki, known for its innovative approach to NFTs and anime-related content, aims to pioneer new avenues for creating and consuming anime intellectual property.

Azuki, a brainchild of Chiru Labs based in Los Angeles, brings its expertise in merging technology with creative content and gaming to AnimeChain.
