Aurory, the popular adventure title, has announced a complete overhaul of its incubator and Neftie rarity system. The previous incubator setup created long-term economic problems by generating too many rare Nefties, throwing off the game's rarity balance and potentially devaluing the creatures over time.
The new incubator system uses a controlled-random formula that first determines the rarity tier of the hatching Neftie, then generates random stat combinations within that tier's range. This same approach will apply to all in-game items with rarity classifications, creating consistency across the entire loot system.
Aurory's updated Neftie rarity system runs on a one-to-five-star scale. Each star tier corresponds to specific stat ranges and hatch probabilities, giving players clear expectations about what they're likely to get from each incubation.
Aurory Releases New Rarity System
The studio has dropped default Neftie statistics to 10% as a balancing measure for Aurory Tactics. Skill remains the deciding factor in matches — a player who understands the game's mechanics can still beat opponents with stronger collections, even when using free starter Nefties.
The rarity system includes a visual indicator on each Neftie's NFT card, displaying one to five stars based on the creature's average stat range. These stars also reflect the probability of hatching a Neftie within that performance bracket, making it easy to assess a creature's quality at a glance.
While some players may worry about such a significant system change, Aurory maintains these adjustments protect the game's economic health and increase the long-term value of Nefties. The studio plans to keep monitoring player feedback and in-game data to guide future development decisions.
