The Axie Infinity team has addressed a major bottleneck in Lunacia's economy: AXP can now be earned in Homeland. Players can accumulate Axie Experience Points through gameplay, speeding up part evolution and unlocking new progression paths.
This guide breaks down how to farm AXP in Homeland, explains the current daily cap system, and examines why this update matters for the game's long-term economy.

What you need to know
- Homeland now rewards Axie Experience Points (AXP) for gameplay. AXP drives axie evolution and powers dynamic NFT progression. Activities like gathering, producing, crafting, constructing, upgrading, combining, and dismantling all generate AXP for your axies.
- Each axie can earn up to 10,000 AXP per day in Homeland. The daily cap resets at 00:00 UTC every 24 hours.
- AXP ties directly to individual axies. You must assign your NFT axies to land plots via the NFT Axie Management menu to start earning.

Why AXP matters
Vertical progression through experience
The team rolled out Axie Experience Points (AXP) in July 2023 as part of a broader vision for interconnected Axie meta games. This system laid the groundwork for vertical axie progression, which became reality through Part Evolution in December. AXP enables dynamic NFTs that change and improve over time.
Homeland marks the first major game mode where players can consistently farm AXP. The developers plan to expand AXP earning across the entire Axie ecosystem, making this update a foundational piece of that strategy.
Homeland rewards AXP for core gameplay loops: gathering resources, producing materials, crafting items, constructing buildings, upgrading structures, combining components, and dismantling objects. The 10,000 AXP daily cap per axie resets every 24 hours at 00:00 UTC. Use accumulated AXP to level up and ascend your axies on App.axie, preparing them for part evolutions.
Note: Earn rates will be adjusted based on player feedback and live data. If certain activities yield disproportionately high or low AXP relative to their difficulty and time investment, expect rebalancing.
Earning AXP in Homeland
AXP accumulates on specific axies. Before your axies can earn anything, assign them to land plots through the NFT Axie Management menu.

Step 1:
Open the NFT Axie Management menu and assign axies to your land plots. An Altar of Atia Level 1 supports 2 axies. An Altar of Atia Level 10 supports 32 axies.
Step 2:
Perform tasks like gathering, producing, crafting, constructing, upgrading, combining, and dismantling.
Step 3:
Claim your AXP. A green check mark appears when an axie hits its Axie Core daily cap, which tracks AXP across all games, not just Homeland. The progress bar shows Homeland-specific AXP only.

Note: Stewards can assign their own axie NFTs to a landlord's plot to earn AXP. When a landlord delegates a plot to a steward, the landlord's axies are automatically removed from assignments. Stewards should assign their own axies immediately. Landlords, be aware that delegation clears your axie assignments automatically.
Maximizing AXP gains
Optimize your task selection
AXP rewards scale with plot type, task duration, and task complexity.
Concrete numbers
Chopping a Level 1 Tree on a Genesis Plot yields roughly 5 AXP. Gathering from a level 6 precious metal mine once awards up to 76 AXP. Higher blueprint levels, higher deposit levels, and longer task completion times consistently generate more AXP than lower-tier, faster tasks.
To level and ascend axies efficiently, assign them to high-yield tasks and upgrade your Altar of Atia to expand your axie assignment slots. This approach maximizes AXP per session.
When an axie reaches its daily cap, swap it out for a fresh one to keep earning. Tasks must be completed to credit AXP.
