The XRPL Gamechain kicks off with a soft launch of five games available through Xcade on testnet, with a full release scheduled for later this fall. These games target mobile players and prioritize quick sessions and low barriers to entry, making them accessible to players unfamiliar with cryptocurrency or blockchain-based gaming. B3's goal is to deliver experiences that feel natural to play while taking advantage of on-chain technology.
Viktoriya Hying, co-founder of B3 creator NPC Labs, explained that the company's research while at Coinbase revealed how gaming could serve as an entry point for broader blockchain participation. "Through our research conducted when we were at Coinbase, the team realized the most successful way to have users participate and engage more meaningfully on-chain is through creating fun, frictionless, and novel experiences. On-chain games allow for that," Hying said.

Xcade, Phnix Runner, and Ripple Collector
Xcade's initial lineup includes several hyper-casual games now live in testnet. Phnix Runner is an endless runner where players guide a cartoon bird through obstacles. Ripple Collector is a tap-and-shoot game centered on tossing XRP coins into a moving target. Ripple Racer is a competitive boat-racing game where players collect tokens while dodging waves and obstacles. Taxi Driver puts players in a city environment completing timed passenger pickups and drop-offs.
Each game integrates on-chain scoring through B3's XRPL app chain, so gameplay directly contributes to activity on the ledger. The titles emphasize repeatable, accessible gameplay designed to appeal to both crypto users and newcomers. B3 plans to expand the catalog with weekly updates after the full launch, creating a steady pipeline of content to sustain player engagement.

The XRPL Gamechain marks a notable shift for the XRP Ledger, which hasn't historically been a major hub for web3 gaming. Most blockchain-based games have concentrated on platforms like Ethereum, Solana, Ronin, Immutable, and Avalanche. XRP has long been recognized for its speed and low transaction costs, but it hasn't attracted a substantial number of game developers. B3's expansion into the XRP Ledger could broaden the ecosystem's appeal and practical applications.
"XRP is a highly held token looking for new use cases," said Hying. "We aim to create novel ways to use that token, reward users for their participation, and grow the number of daily active users in the XRP community."
B3 has experience in ecosystem building. After its initial launch on Base, it grew into a network of appchains supporting more than 100 games and over 8.5 million wallets. Its broader platform includes BSMNT, a digital space where players and builders collaborate through interactive experiences. This background positions B3 to make a meaningful contribution to the XRP ecosystem through gaming.

The full version of Xcade is expected to launch later this fall, with weekly game releases planned to maintain momentum.
