The timing is notable. The game only launched on March 19, 2026, and it already has over 6 million copies sold. Pearl Abyss is clearly treating this as a live service in the best sense of that phrase, not just patching bugs but actually expanding what the game is.
What the Enhanced label actually means
Here's the thing: Pearl Abyss isn't just calling this a patch. The studio felt the update was substantial enough to rebrand the game itself. That's a bold move six months post-launch, and it tells you something about the scope of what version 2.00.00 contains.
The headlining addition is new cutscenes and story moments woven throughout the main questline.
