Saturday, May 30 is shaping up to be one of the better days to log into Fortnite this season. Epic Games is running a Community Day event, and the free rewards list is longer than most players are probably expecting.

Community Day login reward screen
What you get just for logging in
The baseline reward for anyone who opens the game between 9 AM ET on May 30 and 9 AM ET on May 31 is two cosmetics: the Reflector weapon wrap and the Community Brella glider. The Reflector is a silver wrap that was originally added to the game files back in 2020 as part of the Silver Surfer set but never made it to players. The Community Brella is an all-black umbrella glider with an additional style, clearly nodding to the classic One Shot John Wick umbrella from earlier seasons.
Battle pass holders get a third bonus on top of that. Anyone with an active battle pass (purchased with V-Bucks or through a Fortnite Crew subscription) will also unlock a new style for The Foundation (Reforged), specifically a tie-wearing, office-ready variant. It's a small but clean addition for players who already own the skin.
Win a match, earn three more items
Here's the thing: just logging in is the floor, not the ceiling. Players who actually earn a Battle Royale win during the Community Day window pick up three additional items: the Lemmie Axe pickaxe, the Space Blaster weapon wrap, and the Loons back bling. All three were sitting in the game files for years without ever being released.
The Loons back bling is the standout here. It dates back to 2019 and belongs to a skin called Brilliant Bomber that still hasn't been released to this day. Whether that skin ever sees the light of day is unclear, but the back bling is finally making its way out.
The win-based rewards require an actual Battle Royale victory during the event window, not just participation. Loading in and dropping out won't count.
Twitch drops and a discounted bundle
For players who prefer watching to playing, there's a separate Twitch drops track running alongside the event. Watching Fortnite content creators on Twitch during the Community Day window earns the accessories from the Metal Menace item shop bundle. Earning those drops also unlocks the ability to purchase the full bundle, which includes the Skulldroid skin, for just 200 V-Bucks the next time it rotates into the shop. That's a significant discount compared to standard item shop pricing.

Community Day blue chest spawns
The gameplay itself is different on Saturday
Community Day isn't just a reward delivery system. The Battle Royale loot pool gets a temporary overhaul for the event, with golden fireworks guns, finger guns, and supercharged pizza all dropping into matches. The map will also be packed with blue chests, which should make early-game loot feel noticeably more generous.
The highlight is a Power Hour running from 12:30 PM PT to 1:30 PM PT, where every player starts each match already holding a self-res, a Cube Rifle, and an Infinity Blade. That one-hour window is going to play very differently from a standard match, and it's worth jumping in specifically for it.
The Season 3 teaser hiding inside the event
The Power Hour also kicks off the final stretch of the current season. Epic has confirmed that an in-game teaser for the Season 2 finale event will appear during that window, which in turn should offer the first real clues about Chapter 7 Season 3. That new season is scheduled to begin on June 6, just one week after Community Day.
For players who have been following the season's story threads, this is the moment things start accelerating. The Community Day is essentially the opening act of the endgame.
