Summer is officially hitting Gotham's favorite battle royale. Epic Games has revealed the full Hot Bat Summer cosmetic lineup for Fortnite, and the DC collab arriving with the v41.20 update is exactly what it sounds like: Batman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman swapping their usual dark aesthetics for beach swimsuit styles. It lands tomorrow, July 16.
Four DC icons, zero capes
The lineup is straightforward but genuinely fun. All four skins reimagine their characters in beach-ready looks, which is a sharp visual contrast to the usual grim Gotham aesthetic these characters carry. Summer Batman, Summer Harley Quinn, Summer Poison Ivy, and Summer Catwoman are each sold at 1,500 V-Bucks individually.
Beyond the four character skins, two additional cosmetics round out the event. Ace the Bat-Hound arrives as a sidekick at 1,200 V-Bucks, and the Beach Buggy Batmobile is priced at 2,500 V-Bucks. Whether the Batmobile sells as a standalone item or gets bundled is still unconfirmed at the time of writing.

When the skins hit the Item Shop
The Hot Bat Summer cosmetics go live as soon as the v41.20 update finishes server maintenance on July 16. That means no waiting for the daily Item Shop reset. The moment servers come back online, the skins are available.
Dataminers point to 4:00 AM PT / 7:00 AM ET as the target window for the update going live. Here's the full regional time table:
The Batman Sprite is the other big thing dropping tomorrow
The skins are only part of the July 16 story. The v41.20 update also introduces the Batman Sprite to Fortnite, a new Mythical-tier addition that represents a fresh gameplay mechanic tied to the Hot Bat Summer event. The Sprite system is new to this update, so the Batman variant arriving alongside the DC collab is not a coincidence.
The key here is that this update is bigger than a standard cosmetic drop. Between the Sprite mechanics, four new skins, a sidekick, and a vehicle cosmetic, the v41.20 patch is one of the more content-dense mid-season updates the game has seen recently.
