The GAM3 Awards return this December 2023 to spotlight the best in web3 gaming. This year's jury panel brings together returning voices from 2022 alongside fresh perspectives from web3 gaming venture capital, blockchain ecosystems, infrastructure providers, content creators, and major tech players like Amazon and Google.
Meet Kun Gao, one of this year's judges. He co-founded Forge, a social community gaming platform breaking new ground in how players connect. He also co-founded GGWP, a company modernizing moderation and fighting toxicity across gaming and the metaverse. Before that, he founded and led Crunchyroll, the world's biggest anime and manga destination. His background spans 15 years in consumer media, including founding social mapping service Frappr and working on product and engineering at Slide and HOTorNOT. Kun holds honors degrees from UC Berkeley — a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a B.A. in Applied Mathematics, both earned in 2004 — and was a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon.
