Our GAM3 Awards, a prominent fixture in the realm of web3 gaming, are making a triumphant return this December 2023. The event's distinguished panel of judges has been unveiled, featuring a mix of familiar figures from 2022 and new representatives spanning various aspects of web3 gaming. Notable newcomers to the panel include experts from web3 gaming venture capital firms, blockchain and ecosystem specialists, infrastructure partners, and content creators, in addition to renowned gaming leaders and tech giants such as Amazon and Google.
We are proud to introduce one of our jury members Max Kaufman, Head of BD & Marketing at Helika. Max has a strong background in business development and account management. Max is currently serving as the Head of Business Development at Helika, a blockchain analytics company that caters to major customers in the web3, web2, and VC communities.
Prior to this, Max was the Head of Gaming - Business Development at Chainstack, where they facilitated connections between developers and Web3 infrastructure. Max has also worked at Glew.io as a Global Account Executive and at Oracle as an Enterprise Account Executive. Max is a member of the Blockchain Game Alliance.

1. What is the most enjoyable part of your role?
“Opportunity to speak with game executives about game dev, marketing, data analytics, and more everyday. I'm always learning something new!”
2. How do you see the progress made in web3 gaming since last year?
“2022 was all about building. 2023 has been a mixture of everything. A lot of teams are still building, but are getting closer to launching a game/product. Then there's some teams that have shipped alpha/beta versions of their game already and have been able to get invaluable feedback from their community and play testers. All in all, despite market conditions, there are more teams building games in Web3 than ever before. It's exciting!”
3. What is the most valuable addition web3 brings into gaming, from your perspective, if any?
“Right now I'd still say it's the ability to accrue/own assets that may have value now or in the future. The motivation to earn, buy, sell, and trade in-game assets or tokens with speculative value brings a lot of excitement and strategy to games.”
4. What is your outlook on 2024 and beyond for web3 gaming?
"2024 is a huge year for web3 gaming. There are a lot of teams building relentlessly this year that have huge plans for next year. I'm confident that VC funding will pick back up and there will be 10x the amount of fun games launched than there are now."
