PlayStation Plus subscribers have a deadline to hit. Eight games are disappearing from the Extra and Premium catalogs on October 20, 2026, and a couple of them are genuinely worth your time before they go.
The 'Last Chance to Play' section on the PlayStation Plus page has been updated with the full list, and Silent Hill 2 is the headline departure. The 2024 remake from Bloober Team holds up as one of the better survival horror experiences on PS5, and with Silent Hill: Townfall arriving later this month, this is a decent window to catch up on the series before the next chapter drops.
The full list of departing titles
Here's every game leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on October 20:
- Silent Hill 2
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Death Squared
- Rogue Lords
- Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition
- Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition
- Lake
The two you really shouldn't sleep on
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the other major loss here. It's the entry that shifted the series from brawler to turn-based RPG, and if you've never played it, 35-plus hours of absurd storytelling and surprisingly deep combat awaits. The fact that both this and Silent Hill 2 are leaving the same month is a rough double-hit for subscribers who've been putting them off.
The rest of the list is smaller in scope. Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a solid park-builder if that's your thing. Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition scratches the tactical RPG itch. Lake, a slow-burn narrative game about delivering mail in a small town, has a dedicated following for exactly that vibe. None of them are must-plays in the same tier as the top two, but they're worth a few hours if any of them have been sitting in your mental backlog.
What's arriving at the same time
The catalog isn't just losing games in October. WWE 2K26, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and several other titles joined the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog starting September 15, so there's fresh content landing as the older titles phase out. Sony's rotation keeps moving regardless of how you feel about the specific titles coming and going.
How much time is actually left
With today being September 15, you've got just over five weeks before the October 20 cutoff. Silent Hill 2 runs roughly 8-10 hours for a standard playthrough, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon is considerably longer, so prioritize based on your schedule. The shorter games on the list, like Death Squared and Lake, can realistically be finished in a single weekend.
