First, What is Gangster Arena?

Gangster Arena, developed by Uncharted, is an on-chain strategy game on the Blast Blockchain. Players take on the role of a mob boss, recruiting Gangsters and Goons, engaging in gang wars, and expanding their influence to climb the leaderboard. Uncharted focuses on making crypto gaming more rewarding and accessible. The studio is backed by investors including Shima, Spartan, and Zynga co-founder Justin Waldron.

Gameplay Basics and In-Game Currency $GREED

In Gangster Arena, Gangsters are the core units of your gang. They generate $GREED, the in-game currency, at a rate of up to 800 $GREED per day. Gangsters also bring combat skills that matter in battles. Goons support by farming xGREED, an off-chain currency used for upgrades and progression.

Safehouses protect your resources and expand your gang's capacity, boosting both offense and defense. Gang Wars add strategic depth through three modes: earning, defending, and raiding. These modes affect your gang's reputation and resource stockpiles. Wars resolve every 12 hours, keeping the competitive cycle tight.

War for ETH

Gangster Arena runs on the Blast Blockchain, linking in-game progress to real blockchain rewards. $GREED is an ERC20 token that can be spent in-game or traded for ETH. xGREED, while off-chain, converts to $GREED, adding a layer of currency strategy. This blockchain integration ensures players earn tangible rewards beyond the game itself.

Introducing Crew Wars: New Feature Overview

Crew Wars shifts the focus to teamwork. Players can join or create crews by spending $GREED, with join fees scaling based on the crew's rank. Rewards are split based on each member's contribution. The crew leader takes 5% of total rewards, and the remaining 95% is divided among the crew.

Crew Wars

The starting prize pool for Crew Wars exceeds $100,000, including 4.5 ETH, 10 million $GREED, 3 million $xU, and 159,000 Blast Gold. The pool grows throughout the season as 3% of all $GREED trading fees and 50% of all $GREED spent get reinvested into rewards. This structure incentivizes sustained engagement and active participation.

Reward Distribution

Rewards in Crew Wars are tiered based on crew rankings:

  • Rank 1: 24%
  • Rank 2: 19%
  • Rank 3: 15%
  • And so on, down to Rank 10, which receives 1.5%
