A free UR pick changes the math entirely

The centerpiece of the celebration is the Make UR Wish event, which lets players earn a UR-rarity character by completing in-game challenges. The key here is that you choose the character. That distinction matters a lot in a gacha game where pulling a specific UR through normal recruitment can take weeks of grinding or significant spending. Getting to target exactly who you want, whether that's a dominant spiker, a libero, or a setter you've been chasing since launch, removes a layer of frustration that anniversary events in similar games rarely address.

That's not the only guaranteed addition on offer. The Clean Up the Gym event rewards players with SP Hitoshi Ginjima, the Inarizaki wing spiker, through daily mission completions. No premium pulls required. He's simply yours if you put in the daily work before the event closes.

What the login calendar and daily rewards look like

From July 22 through August 5, daily logins stack up fast. Players collect limited Portrait Frames and Chat Frames, plus dual-character backgrounds featuring Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, as well as Tooru Oikawa and Hajime Iwaizumi. The cosmetic angle is solid for fans of the series, but the more practical haul includes SP Recruit Tickets, UR Recruit Tickets, and UR Player Boost Cards for strengthening existing roster builds.

The anniversary update also introduces Showdown! Midnight Treasure Hunt!, a limited-time mini game that moves the action off the volleyball court entirely. Players explore the team dormitory, hunting for hidden items against a countdown timer while competing to finish before opponents do. It's a light diversion, but it breaks up the usual match loop and gives the celebration some personality beyond pure reward accumulation.

Kamomedai arrives with two new SP characters

Garena is expanding the roster with two SP versions of Kamomedai High School players, both tagged as Winter Sports variants. SP Korai Hoshiumi, the wing spiker the Haikyu!! story frames as the "Next Little Giant," leads the pair. His athleticism and jump ceiling made him one of the more dangerous offensive threats in the anime's later arcs, and he joins as a limited SP recruit during the anniversary window.

Alongside him is SP Sachiro Hirugami, Kamomedai's middle blocker whose read blocking and defensive discipline defined the team's style. His arrival gives players another front-row option built around shutting down attacks rather than generating offense, which fills a real gap for teams that want a more defensive front line.

Haikyu!! Fly High launched in 2025 as a mobile adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's volleyball series, built around recruiting familiar characters, assembling teams, and recreating matches from the anime. The first anniversary update is the biggest single content drop the game has seen, combining a guaranteed UR pick, two new SP recruits, a limited mini game, and a full login reward calendar into one month-long event.
