Hasbro's first-ever The Legend of Zelda action figures launched this week, and the pre-order window barely stayed open before stock started disappearing. The Heroes of Hyrule line, which includes 6-inch figures of Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf, went live just days ago and has already sold out at multiple major retailers.
Link is the hardest hit. He's gone from both Amazon US and Hasbro Pulse entirely, which tracks with how these things usually go. The hero of Hyrule always moves first.
What's still in stock and where to find it
Here's the lowdown on availability as of right now. The situation is shifting fast, so treat this as a snapshot rather than a guarantee.
In the US, the picture is mixed:
- Link ($27.99): Sold out at Amazon and Hasbro Pulse. Still available at Walmart and Entertainment Earth.
- Princess Zelda ($27.99): The most widely available of the three. Still listed at Amazon, Walmart, Hasbro Pulse, and Entertainment Earth.
- Ganondorf ($42.99): Starting to thin out. Hasbro Pulse is already sold out, but Amazon and Walmart still have stock. The deluxe price reflects his larger, more detailed build compared to the standard figures.
In the UK, the options are narrower. All three figures have sold out at Hasbro Pulse, leaving Amazon UK as the main remaining option across the board.
Why these figures are moving so quickly
The speed of these sellouts makes more sense when you consider the context. Hasbro only recently secured the license to produce Legend of Zelda merchandise, and this is the first wave of figures under that deal. Zelda fans have been starved of high-quality action figures at this price point for years, so pent-up demand was always going to hit hard on launch day.
The line draws directly from Tears of the Kingdom, with each figure designed around the game's aesthetic. Ganondorf in particular has a deluxe designation, coming in at a larger scale with more accessories, which explains the higher price tag relative to Link and Zelda.
Hasbro's track record with licensed action figures, particularly its Star Wars Black Series line, suggests the Heroes of Hyrule range has been built with collectors in mind. The articulation and detail on these figures are reportedly on par with that line, which is exactly what the Zelda fanbase has been asking for.
What this means for collectors going forward
If this first wave sells through as fast as it appears to be, a second wave becomes much more likely. The franchise has no shortage of characters worth immortalizing in plastic: Impa, Sidon, Riju, and a proper Breath of the Wild variant of Link are all realistic candidates.
For now, the priority is tracking down this initial trio before they're gone entirely. Ganondorf and Princess Zelda are still findable through major US retailers, but that could change quickly. The UK situation is more constrained, with Amazon being the last reliable option.
