South Korean blockchain company Kaia has signed a partnership agreement with Taiwan Mobile to support the adoption of web3 in Taiwan. As part of the agreement, Kaia and Taiwan Mobile will prioritize regulatory compliance while promoting web3 adoption. The two companies plan to roll out web3-powered deposit and withdrawal solutions that adhere to local regulations, providing a secure and accessible experience for users. This approach aims to facilitate the use of Kaia assets and other blockchain services while maintaining a consistent and reliable user experience.

Dr. Sam Seo, chairman of the Kaia Foundation, highlighted the potential of the Taiwan market, stating, “Taiwan is one of the most promising web3 markets in APAC, and we are collaborating with Taiwan Mobile to build a solid web3 infrastructure here. Leveraging the strengths of Taiwan Mobile and TWEX, we will promote compliant web3-powered deposit and withdrawal solutions, accelerating the adoption of Kaia assets and blockchain services while ensuring a more reliable yet convenient web3 user experience.”

Expanding Blockchain via Mini Dapps

Kaia is also promoting the adoption of blockchain-based games through its integration with Line Next’s Mini Dapp platform. The platform has previously hosted successful game launches, including Slime Miner and Ragnarok Libre by Delabs Games. By leveraging the Mini Dapp platform, Kaia intends to make simple blockchain games more accessible to a wider audience, contributing to broader engagement with web3 technologies in Taiwan.

Taiwan Mobile Vice President Luke Han stated that combining Kaia’s blockchain technology with Taiwan Mobile’s market presence can help lower barriers to entry and expand infrastructure. “Together we share the same mission: to reduce barriers while strengthening compliance and user safety. By combining our strengths, we aspire to set a new benchmark for web3,” he said.

Outlook for Web3 Adoption in Taiwan

The partnership between Kaia and Taiwan Mobile represents a significant step in promoting web3 in Taiwan. By focusing on regulatory compliance, infrastructure development, and accessible blockchain gaming, the collaboration seeks to create a scalable and secure web3 ecosystem. This effort reflects a growing interest in the adoption of blockchain technologies across the region, particularly in the financial and entertainment sectors.
