Konami has officially announced the Press Start showcase for September 3, 2026, kicking off at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET on its YouTube channel. The event runs approximately 30 minutes and covers several of the publisher's most anticipated upcoming titles, including Silent Hill: Townfall, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Rev. NOiR, and Project Zircon.
This is a proper multi-game showcase, not a single-title deep dive. Development team video messages are confirmed, so expect actual context on where each project stands rather than just trailers dropped without commentary.
What's actually on the schedule
The headliner is Silent Hill: Townfall, which is getting brand-new gameplay footage. This is a first-person horror entry in the franchise, a significant shift from the series' traditional third-person perspective, and it's been one of the most closely watched titles in the Silent Hill pipeline since its announcement earlier this year. Seeing extended gameplay here could answer a lot of questions fans have had about how the format actually plays.
Right alongside it is Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, confirmed for an October 15, 2026 release. It's a 2D action-exploration game focused on Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont, and sits as the 26th main entry in the Castlevania franchise. That's a lot of legacy to carry, and the showcase should give a clearer picture of how it handles that weight.

Rev. NOiR and the wildcard slots
Rev. NOiR is the newest IP in the lineup. It's an action RPG built around a supernatural catastrophe called "lightfall," a phenomenon that kills anyone it touches. Two survivors with a connection to the event end up teaming up to stop it. The concept was first teased during the February 2026 State of Play, and the Press Start showcase should deliver the first real expanded look at how the game actually plays.
Project Zircon is also listed, though details remain sparse. The name alone suggests something still in early reveal territory, which means it could be the wildcard of the broadcast. Konami's announcement language also hints at additional titles beyond the confirmed four, so there's room for something unexpected to show up.
The community is already speculating about Castlevania collections, Suikoden remakes, and another Metal Gear Solid Master Collection volume. Whether any of that materializes is anyone's guess, but Konami has been on a notably active release streak, so a surprise announcement isn't out of the question.
Where Konami stands heading into fall
This showcase reflects a meaningfully different Konami than the one fans wrote off a decade ago. The Silent Hill franchise alone has multiple active projects in development simultaneously, with the publisher previously stating its intent to release a new Silent Hill title every year. Townfall, the Silent Hill 1 remake (which won't appear here but was announced in 2025), and Silent Hill f (which released in 2025) represent a genuine pipeline, not just a one-off revival.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse dropping October 15 means it's barely six weeks out from the showcase. That's close enough that the gameplay shown this week will directly shape day-one purchase decisions for a lot of people.
For players already in the Silent Hill ecosystem, understanding the sanity and focus system in Silent Hill f is worth the time before Townfall shifts the formula entirely with its first-person approach.
The Press Start broadcast streams live on Konami's YouTube channel on September 3. Set a reminder now if you don't want to catch it after the fact. For everything that comes out of it, check the gaming guides section for coverage as it drops.
