Set your alarm. Nintendo's Indie World presentation goes live today, October 28, at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET on Nintendo's YouTube channel, and you'll want to be watching from the start. The event runs approximately 15 minutes and will cover upcoming indie games headed to Switch 2 and Switch.
What Nintendo has (and hasn't) told us
Nintendo's announcement kept things tight. No game names, no teaser clips, just a runtime and a start time. That's pretty standard for Indie World drops, which tend to let the presentation do the talking rather than front-loading reveals beforehand.
The last Indie World aired back in March 2026, which means this one arrives roughly seven months later. That gap is long enough for meaningful updates across the indie pipeline, and there are a few titles in particular that fans have been watching closely.
The games worth watching for
Two titles from the March presentation that still haven't launched are Drinkbox Studios' action RPG Blighted and the murder-mystery farming sim Grave Seasons, both of which were recently pushed to 2027. An appearance here wouldn't reverse those delays, but a new trailer or gameplay footage would at least signal that development is moving.
Beyond those two, a handful of other indie titles have been circling Switch platforms without firm release windows. The Eternal Life of Goldman, Witchbrook, Hoa 2, Human Fall Flat 2, and SacriFire are all reasonable candidates for a slot in the lineup.
Here's the thing that makes every Indie World feel like a lottery: Nintendo rarely telegraphs the full picture in advance. Some of the best announcements from past presentations came completely out of nowhere.
The Silksong situation
For years, Hollow Knight: Silksong dominated Indie World live chats as fans begged for a release date. That wait finally ended last year when the game launched. Now the community has a new target: Sea of Sorrow, the free nautical expansion for Silksong that Team Cherry announced for a 2026 release window. The year is almost up, which makes today's presentation a realistic moment for an update, or at minimum, a very active live chat.
Switch 2 context adds a new layer
This is the first Indie World since Switch 2 launched, which opens up the conversation around which titles are targeting the new hardware versus the original Switch. Nintendo has confirmed the presentation covers both platforms, so expect some clarity on which games are getting the Switch 2 treatment and which are sticking with the original.
For players tracking upcoming Nintendo releases, the Pokémon Champions release date and start times guide has everything confirmed for that title's April 2026 arrival on Switch. Separately, if you're keeping tabs on Yacht Club Games' upcoming release, the Mina the Hollower release date and start times guide covers what to expect from that one.
