Off The Grid Expands to Xbox Preview After Winning Game of the Year

Gunzilla Games’ Off The Grid (OTG), a web3 third-person battle royale game, has expanded its reach by joining Xbox Preview. Following its successful early access launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC in October 2024, the game now brings its immersive experience to Xbox Series X and S players. This marks the first time Series S users can engage with the title, reflecting Gunzilla's ongoing commitment to broadening accessibility.

GAM3 Awards Recognition

Prior to its Xbox Preview debut, Off The Grid launched on NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. This partnership allows players to enjoy the game across various devices—including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and smart TVs—without compromising on its graphics or features.

Off The Grid also achieved a landmark moment at our GAM3 Awards 2024, held on November 22 in Manila. The game claimed the coveted “Game of the Year” (GOTY) title, alongside three additional awards: Best Action Game, Best Shooter Game, and Best Multiplayer Game. This achievement marked a historic moment for the web3 gaming industry, showcasing the potential of blockchain-integrated gaming on a global stage.

Joining Xbox Preview

The inclusion of Off The Grid in Xbox Preview has garnered a significant response, with the OTG Xbox Insiders program quickly reaching its 50,000-player capacity. To accommodate the demand, Gunzilla has expanded access across multiple territories. Xbox Preview players can also access the OTG PRO subscription service and the Save Democracy content pack, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

Gunzilla Games CEO Vlad Korolev expressed excitement about this milestone, stating, “We’re excited to launch Xbox in Game Preview, expanding Off the Grid PRO to more gamers globally. We are looking forward to more announcements in the coming months that will expand access even further.”

Innovative Features Driving Success

Off The Grid combines AAA-quality gameplay with blockchain technology, offering both competitive multiplayer modes and a 60-hour single-player campaign. Players can customize and trade cybernetic limbs and weapons as NFTs, utilizing a mobile wallet powered by the game’s native GUN token. This innovative integration redefines digital ownership and in-game economies, distinguishing OTG in the battle royale genre.

Developed over four years with an investment exceeding $100 million, Gunzilla Games has positioned Off The Grid as a leader in both gaming and blockchain innovation. CEO Vlad Korolev commented, “With the launch of Off the Grid and GUNZ to the public, we are not just advancing towards a new horizon in AAA gaming but also establishing a new standard in the blockchain space.”
