Prime Day is almost done, and the countdown timer on every Amazon listing is very real right now. If you own a Nintendo Switch 2 and haven't checked what's still discounted, today is genuinely the last window to act before these prices disappear until Black Friday.
The headline for Switch 2 owners this sale: game deals are decent but not spectacular, while accessory discounts are where the real value sits. That split matters depending on what you actually need.
What the game deals actually look like
The biggest game discount of this Prime Day is Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which dropped to a record-low $39.99 from its usual $69.99. That's $30 off, and if you've been holding out on that purchase, this is the lowest price it's hit. Notably, the $30 savings line up almost perfectly with the cost of the Mega Dimension DLC, so you're essentially getting the base game at a discount and the funds to go all-in on the expansion.
For players building out their Switch 2 library ahead of the holiday season, the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is sitting at $59.88, down $10.11 from $69.99. The game launches November 5, so pre-ordering now also locks in the special foil box art. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Switch 2 is down to $34.99 from $49.99, which is worth flagging given the game requires 102.5 GB of storage. More on that in a moment. Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is the surprise standout at just $19.99, cut from $39.99. A Switch 2 game at that price is unusual enough to be worth a second look, but the deal has less than 24 hours left.
The accessory deals are where things get interesting
Third-party controllers are having a strong showing this Prime Day. The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller in the Invincible Mario design is down to $28.49 from $59.99, which is the lowest price it's been spotted at. The PDP Afterglow Wave Wireless RGB Controller dropped to $26.99 from $59.99, and it comes with remappable back buttons and a 20-hour battery. Neither matches the first-party Switch 2 Pro Controller feature-for-feature, but at roughly a third of that $90 price tag, both are genuinely solid options.
For Pokemon fans specifically, the PowerA Mega Evolutions Advantage Wireless Controller is half price at $34.99, down from $69.99. It's a Pro-style form factor covered in Pokemon art, and for extended sessions it holds up well ergonomically.
On the case and storage side, Belkin's Charging Grip Case is down to $89.99 from $99.99, with a 10,000mAh power bank attached. The Belkin Charging Case Pro hits the same $89.99 price point and combines a carry case with a removable charging stand. The HORI Vault Case in Kirby and Waddle Dee is a cheaper option at $19.99, down from $29.99, for anyone who just needs solid hardshell protection without the power bank.
Storage is also discounted: the SanDisk 512GB microSD Express Card for Switch 2 is $129.99, down $70 from $199.99. Given that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth alone needs over 100 GB, anyone planning to build a digital library will want to sort this out sooner rather than later. One deal that stands out for a different reason
The PDP Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller for Switch 2 is $89.99, down from $149.99. That $60 discount is the largest single saving on any accessory this Prime Day. The timing makes sense: Stage Tour, the Guitar Hero spiritual successor, is scheduled for December, and this controller works with both Stage Tour and Fortnite Festival in the meantime. If you were ever going to buy a guitar controller for Switch 2, this is the price point to do it at.
Should you wait for Black Friday instead?
For accessories and mid-tier game deals, the current discounts are competitive and stock on popular items is already moving. Console bundles, including the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle at $549.99 and the Switch Sports Resort Bundle at $529, aren't discounted below their standard prices this Prime Day, so if hardware is your target, Black Friday is still worth waiting for.
For games, first-party titles like Zelda and Pokemon are seeing meaningful cuts right now, but history suggests Black Friday can push Nintendo software even lower. The key here is whether you want the game in hand for November or can hold out another six weeks.
