Sony has locked in the PS Plus monthly games for August, and the lineup covers a solid spread of genres. Three games drop for members on August 4 and stay available through August 31. Here's what you're getting.

The headliner most members have been waiting for
Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition lands on both PS5 and PS4, and it's the kind of game that justifies an entire month's subscription on its own. You play as Aiden Caldwell, navigating a post-apocalyptic city torn apart by rival factions and a virus that has turned most of humanity into monsters. The parkour movement system is still one of the best in the genre, and the story branches based on the choices you make throughout the campaign.
The Reloaded Edition includes a stack of post-launch content on top of the base game, so anyone who skipped this at launch is getting a genuinely complete package. Co-op runs up to four players, and here's the thing: other players' worlds reflect their own choices, so jumping into a friend's session can feel like a noticeably different game.
A co-op puzzler worth your weekend
Big Walk is the wildcard of the three, and it's PS5 only. The pitch is simple: you and friends explore a wide-open world together, solve puzzles, and figure out how to communicate when the game deliberately takes away your usual tools. It's the kind of cooperative experience designed for people who want something low-stakes but genuinely clever.
What most players miss about games like this is how well they hold up as social experiences outside of competitive play. Big Walk leans into that completely, with enough environmental detail to reward curiosity and enough mechanical surprises to keep sessions from going stale.
The PS4 pick that deserves more attention
Signalis is the quietest addition to the lineup and probably the most interesting one for horror fans. You play as Elster, a technician Replika searching for her lost partner across a surreal, retro-tech world full of unsettling creatures and layered puzzles. The game draws directly from classic survival horror design, with limited inventory management and an atmosphere of slow-building psychological dread.
The key here is that Signalis was a cult hit when it first released, but a lot of PS Plus subscribers will be encountering it for the first time. It's a PS4 title, so it runs on both generations.
Marvel Tokon bonus pack also incoming
Separate from the monthly games, PS Plus members can grab a MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls PS Plus Pack starting August 6. The pack includes five profile avatars (Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, and Ghost Rider) plus a set of 20 in-game result screen character poses for the PS5 version of the game. The pack stays available until August 6, 2027, so there's no rush, but you do need to actively redeem and download it from the PS Plus section of PS Store.
