Sony's annual sale season kicks off with PS Plus discounts
PlayStation Days of Play is back. Sony's annual celebration of all things PlayStation runs every year in late May through early June, and this time around it arrived with discounts on PS Plus memberships that apply to both brand-new subscribers and existing members looking to stack time onto their accounts.
That last part is worth paying attention to. A lot of subscription sales lock out existing subscribers entirely, so the fact that current PS Plus members can take advantage here makes this one of the more broadly useful deals Sony runs all year.

What Days of Play actually covers this year
The PS Plus discount is the headline offer, but Days of Play is running a wider slate of deals across the PlayStation Store simultaneously. Game sales are live across a large catalogue, with notable discounts on titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Royal Edition, and Batman: Arkham Collection.
There are also hardware and accessory deals in the mix, making this one of the few windows in the year where you can save on controllers and peripherals alongside software.
For players who want to dig through the full catalogue, checking out game reviews before committing to a purchase during a sale this size is genuinely useful. There are a lot of discounted titles, and not all of them deserve your money at any price.
Days of Play runs until 10 June 2026. The PS Plus discount and all associated deals expire at the same time, so there's a clear deadline to work with.
Free indie avatars are available right now, no PS Plus needed
Here's the thing that most players will scroll past: PlayStation is also giving away a free avatar bundle tied to Days of Play, and you do not need a PS Plus subscription to claim it.
The bundle pulls avatars from three indie titles that launched over the past year: Cairn, Baby Steps, and Lumines Arise. All three are also part of the Days of Play sale, so the avatars double as a subtle way to surface games you might not have considered.
Redeeming the bundle requires entering a regional code directly in the PlayStation Store:
- NA/Americas: BD3Q-NNBB-5843
- Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand: AAET-4A2C-LLNP
- Asia: EK8R-B23R-NEJ2
- Japan: B4A8-JABE-Q7GL
- Korea: 9T2P-CJKC-9GX6

The avatars go directly to your account and can be set as your PS5 profile picture immediately after redemption. No hoops, no trial subscription required.
Why this window matters more than the usual storefront noise
Days of Play has built a reputation as one of the two or three genuinely worthwhile sale periods on PlayStation each year, sitting alongside the end-of-year holiday sales in terms of depth and variety. The PS Plus membership discount being available to existing subscribers is the part that elevates it above a standard promotional push.
For anyone sitting on a lapsed subscription or planning to upgrade their tier from Essential to Extra or Premium, the timing lines up well. The Ghost of Yotei Collector's Edition is also discounted during the event, which includes physical extras like a Ghost Mask replica and art cards alongside in-game digital content.
If you want to get the most out of what's available before June 10, the gaming guides hub is a solid starting point for figuring out which discounted games are worth the time investment before the sale window closes.
