RavenQuest, the free-to-play MMORPG, has launched Guild Wars, a new competitive mode that pits guilds against each other in 15v15 battles for substantial rewards. The mode centers on tactical tower control, a high-risk flag objective, and a structured reward system that scales with both participation and performance.
Guild Wars combines strategic combat with meaningful incentives. Guilds compete to capture towers, secure the Golden Flag, and accumulate Victory Points, earning Gold and Warforged Shards that fuel both guild growth and individual progression.

What is RavenQuest?
RavenQuest is a top-down pixel-based MMORPG built on the foundation of Ravendawn, a web2 game that attracts over 200,000 monthly players. RavenQuest distinguishes itself through full web3 integration, letting players own in-game assets as NFTs while exploring a constantly evolving world.
Unlike many web3 titles that demand upfront investment, RavenQuest is free-to-play, removing any barrier to entry. The game includes dedicated PvE zones for players who prefer to avoid combat, but PvP zones offer better rewards and stronger earning potential for those willing to compete.
New Battlefield Format
Guild Wars introduces a battlefield divided into four neutral corner towers and a central Golden Flag. Each tower can be claimed by any guild, and once captured, the controlling guild earns 5 points every 15 seconds. The banner atop each tower changes color to reflect ownership, and the first guild to reach 2,500 Victory Points wins the match.
The Golden Flag at the center of the map offers a high-stakes alternative. Capturing the flag and delivering it to a controlled tower awards 50 points, but the carrier must stay alive. Death or certain skill activations cause the flag to drop, forcing guilds to balance aggression with protection. Respawn mechanics keep the action continuous, with no death penalties and fast returns to the battlefield.

Bidding Phase and Participation
Guild Wars take place once a week. The first war launched on September 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM Pacific Time. Before each war, guilds enter a Bidding Phase, contributing in-game silver to secure a spot among the top 20 bidders. Up to 30 guilds can participate, with higher bids granting enhanced bonuses during the battle.
The Bidding Phase filters participation to the most committed guilds, and those who bid the most gain tactical advantages. Once bidding closes, guilds have 30 minutes to finalize strategies and organize their teams before the war begins.

Guild Bank System and Rewards
RavenQuest has introduced a Guild Bank system to support guild activities. All members can deposit silver into the shared bank, but only the Leader and Vice-Leader can allocate those funds. The system is transparent, allowing every member to monitor the balance and track contributions.
Guilds also earn a 2% silver bonus from in-game activities like monster hunting, which automatically flows into the Guild Bank. This passive income helps fund Guild Wars and other guild initiatives. Rewards from Guild Wars scale with both participation and bidding performance:
- Winning Guild Participants receive 500 Gold, plus an additional 20 Gold for each placement achieved in the bidding phase.
- Losing Guild Participants earn 200 Gold, plus an additional 10 Gold for each placement in the bidding phase.
- Non-Participants from Winning Guilds receive 250 Gold plus 10 Gold per bidding placement.
- Non-Participants from Losing Guilds receive 100 Gold plus 5 Gold per placement.
Higher bidding rankings directly translate to greater rewards, incentivizing guilds to invest in both the bidding phase and the battles themselves. Gold and Warforged Shards earned from Guild Wars can be reinvested into guild activities or used for personal progression, creating a feedback loop that encourages sustained engagement.

Final Thoughts
Guild Wars adds a competitive layer to RavenQuest that rewards coordination, strategy, and investment. The combination of tower control, the Golden Flag objective, and the Guild Bank system creates multiple paths for guilds to gain an edge. Weekly wars provide a recurring event that benefits both participants and spectators, deepening the competitive ecosystem.
The mode expands RavenQuest's free-to-play, play-and-earn model, giving guilds more opportunities to earn resources and grow their influence. For guilds willing to commit silver and coordinate their members, Guild Wars offers one of the most lucrative and engaging activities in the game.
