Red Bull is launching the Red Bull Wings Cup in the UK, a new global EA SPORTS FC 27 tournament that will give players the chance to compete for a place at the World Final in Miami.
The competition begins alongside the launch of Limited Edition Red Bull Wings Cup cans, which will be available across the UK from September 1. Each participating can includes a QR code and unique code under the tab that can be redeemed for exclusive EA SPORTS FC 27 in-game rewards.
Players can use the codes to claim 250 EA SPORTS FC 27 Season Points, an exclusive Red Bull Wings Cup Ultimate Team Kit, and a Red Bull Wings Cup Loan Player Item. The rewards can be redeemed from September 18, giving players a chance to prepare their Ultimate Teams before the tournament gets underway.
How to Qualify for the Red Bull Wings Cup
The Red Bull Wings Cup's competitive phase begins on September 27, with players able to enter through a combination of online and offline qualifiers.
The PlayStation Tournament Online Qualifiers will run until November 1, while University Qualifiers will continue through November 7. Players can also earn their place through PlayStation Tournament Open Qualifiers and Red Bull Wings Cup live activations.
Those who progress will move into the FACEIT Closed Qualifiers, where competitors will face off in a single-elimination bracket hosted through FACEIT.
Six players will ultimately emerge from the Closed Qualifiers and advance to the UK National Final, which will take place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London on November 14.
The six finalists will then compete for the opportunity to represent the UK at the Red Bull Wings Cup World Final in Miami in January 2027.
That gives players multiple routes into the competition, whether they compete through PlayStation, university events, or Red Bull's live activations.
Angry Ginge and Tekkz Lead the UK Campaign
Red Bull Player Angry Ginge and EA SPORTS FC esports player Tekkz will front the UK campaign throughout the Red Bull Wings Cup.
Angry Ginge said the tournament provides an opportunity for players to experience EA SPORTS FC in a different way, with anyone able to enter and potentially make it all the way to Miami.
“I’m proper excited to be part of Red Bull Wings Cup. EA SPORTS FC is a massive part of my life and content, but this is a chance to experience it in a completely different way, with anyone able to get involved and compete for the chance to take it all the way to Miami.”
The pair will bring the tournament to their respective audiences as players progress through the various stages of the competition.

The tournament is also being accompanied by a separate promotion tied to the ASDA-exclusive Red Bull Wings Cup 4-Pack.
Fans will have the chance to win a range of football and gaming prizes, including a trip for two to the World Final in Miami, 23 pairs of Premier League match tickets, Red Bull Wings Cup jerseys, a PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation DualSense controllers, and copies of EA SPORTS FC 27.
